Go for the x800 gto. Just looking at the benchmarks in this article, the x800 gto outperforms the x1600 XT.

I'm not sure where you saw the ad but your getting riped off. Check newegg.com, you can find a X1600Pro 256mb for $150 or less and an 256mb X800GTO for about the same price. And I suggest you get the X800GTO.

Canada got sites like Newegg too, you just got to look around. I know OTZ knows one, but I forgot which one it is.

This should be your one stop shop for all your PC needs in Canada, eh?

Check their weekly sales - always great deals. I think they even have a US site...although I am fairly certain Newegg is the place to go for the Yanks...

Not as far as I recall - both have 12 pipes, but the GTO2 has a different core that will allow you to unlock the other 4. Just a note though - I have heard that Sapphire/C3D have actually made it impossible for the extra pipes to be unlocked. I have the C3D X800GTO and overclocks like a sumbitch - I had at 600/600 on water...too scared to keep it that high though.

NCIX has a sale on right now...the X1600 is 148 bucks while the GTOs are a little under 200. I am happy with my GTO - it's already dated, but it plays every game on high settings. Can't go wrong for 200 bucks...
