agreed with Jean, i have no love for metal but that live concert video really did make me pity the people actually present there, get some people who bang their instruments together, long yet terrible hair and couple of random girls in a bikini and you got yourself some big $.

Hard rock and Heavy metal is the music for rebels. For people who have a burning fire in them. Who dont like the mainstream way. Hard rock is a revolution.

Keep in mind Im not defending Manowar. I dont even like them..... americans
They are bad bands and singers in every genre. Just like there are a lot of stupid rappers and unoriginal pop singers. There are a lot of stupid metal bands with no lyric or song meanings.
But you need to find the right ones and when you do you will hear one of the bests songs and voices in the world.

And Im talking about Heavy metal. Not some death metal screaming not some shi**y slipknot or linkin park.

Those three are my favorite metal bands, Dethklok is the best metal i've ever heard and their show's hilarious, Austrian Death Machine is metal with Arnold Shwartzinegger vocals, and Finntroll is Finnish folk metal where the band plays a bunch of, well trolls.

Serious "Everything is pain" sort of metal sucks in my opinion, even the metal "greats" only have a couple hits that are actually really good. With the exception of the late great Rodney James of course.

Everything is pain was a poor choice of words. I mean bands like Slipknot (just off the top of my head), they are in my opinion aweful. They're so bland and take themselves so seriously its almost pathetic.

And bands like AC/CD and Black Sabbath really only have those few couple hits I like and then the rest is very average. I prefer metal to have a bit of a sense of humor with itself, or just be so unique listening to it is an experiance unlike any other.

This conversation reminds me of my ex-girlfriend, except it was marching band music there Ill draw a parallel and say, hey it may be art to some people, but save those few great hits, or somthing seriously unique, the rest is very average to me, and plenty is straight garbage. Marching band music though has way more stuff in the garbage pile than metal... so thats a plus
