In order to make historical battles like are already ingame, you have to have a ridiculously intimate knowledge of the script they use in game. But, if you want just simple battle w/o prebattle vid and such, I would just copy one of the existing historical battles in world/maps/battle/custom and modify it to your own personal tastes. There are some historical battles done in the dowloads section I think - if you are really serious about this you might want to PM one of them.

Things are very seldom what they seem. In my experience, they’re usually a damn sight worse.

can't you just use the battle editor?

Ya, but that is really user-unfriendly (I thought) and for some reason whenver I used it it would crash at random times. Still, you could use it if you are brave

Do you want to create a specific battle, or do you just want more to play? If you just want more, I think there is a thermopylae and Watling Street battles in the downloads section.

Re: historical
No. There is a space between them otherwise the shortcut wouldn't run.

Re: historical
The main menu. Options is the second to last icon or whatever on the page. If you DO have the battle editor enabled, it will be at the bottom of this page

Re: historical
Do you have activate the editor with "-enable_editor" command? I don't know why but I can't do it. Should be a patch applied on the game or something ?
