    Default Ati graphics card issues

Ok so Im currently using a stopgap computer until i can afford to put together a completely new one specifically for gaming, but today i bought a new graphics card because my games were having issues.

I used to have an old ATI Radeon 1050x, and upgraded to an ATI Radeon HD 4670, a decent upgrade but nothing fancy since im not planning on holding onto this computer anyway.

However now Im having problems. When I want to play one of my games, I get an error message saying there are no directx 9.0c compatible drivers, and the application will terminate.

I never had this problem before, however it only started happening since I updated to the latest drivers for my new card.

Im not sure why my newer card would have directx 9.0 issues when my old one didnt, but perhaps someone here can help?

roll back to a different driver

happens, its why you can find 99% of the drivers companies put out

roll back to 11.4a or 11.5 and try those instead, could also be that Direct X got borked by a game or windows update, had this happen to the computer im typing this on right now still havent fixed it as im building a new rig anyway,

but in your case it sounds like a drive issue roll back to an earlier driver and relax

I would simply reinstall the OS, it will rid you of any other problems as well.
