It's not that hard you can do that yourself, there are tutorials for that.
If you need the links i can provide them.

I need them like CA made them, and I only found one tutorial.. it's still a wip and i dont have 3DS Max, or I would do it
question though:
for now we are just reskinning units.. so the unit card just needs to be reskinned as well.. is this possible to just reskin or "recolor" unit cards?

Yeah you need 3DS max or MS3D for creating cards.
And yeah you can re-colour them with PS or GIMP, on PS, open the pic and press hotkey CTRL+U to open Hue and saturation window and then change the colors, before that select the part to which you wanna apply those colour changes.

GIMP can also do it but i don't know the hot key for it as i'm not a GIMP user. And .DDS error is maybe because GIMP requires a DDS plugin to open/save those files.

i have that plugin and i can open the files but saving is hard.. oh well i will figure it out..

Oh then you have to save it as DXT5 if you have alpha channels if not then save it as DXT1 type.

umm ya thats like a foreign language.. could you explain?? I have tried to skin before but the terminology confuses me so i did a horrible job!
