Units acting out

I have two questions/problems that i could use some help with. First I've noticed that when playing TATW, I get ignored by my units alot. ie: i had an army of archers, in TW2 I would have them all unload on the enemy bodyguard unit first to kill the general so i can fight the rest of the army more easily but in TATW i tried this and they just ignore me and keep shooting at whoever they want. the same thing happens with my rohan cavalry (maybe others too, I've only played as Rohan so far) I'll them to do one thing and they go do another, its very annoying and makes it hard to implement any kind of strategy when your units dont always listen. anyway, my second problem is that during the fellowship campaign, im trying to do the quest where you use ithilien rangers to ambush the harad army and when about a minute or two passes the game has an "unspecified error" and crashes. some explanations or solutions would be appreciated!

hmmm i havnt heard of this happening. i mean i dont want to come off like a jackass but are you sure your selecting the right unit and RIGHT clicking the enemy? the only thing i can think of is that the mod team implemented this to make it more difficult for the player but that seems highly unfair...

I've noticed it with archers only, often I have to click like crazy to get them to switch targets. I think it's because the firing animation is so long so when you click on a different target they're still in the process of attacking the old one. The only thing I can suggest is to confirm and re-confirm the new attack order. Sometimes I click stop (and even turn off auto-fire) and wait for the bow icon to disappear (the one signifying firing in progress) and then issue the new order.
