RTW: Problems with Video (Help?)
Hello N00by here;
I have just installed RTW and am having issues with what I believe is my video card. The graphics slide out in lines towards the right side of the screen, seems to be only about half of the picture.
Eventually if I try to get into the game the flickering goes all across the screen and eventually locks up the computer forcing me to reboot.
I have the NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700LE.
I have installed the most recent NVIDIA driver and am still have the same problem. Is there a setting I can change etc?
Any suggestions, or is it something other then the video card?

i had that only once with an athlon xp proc/board that i was trying for a friend. that time it must have been mostlikely mobo or very maybe a driver problem.
did you get the forceware driver for the card? forceware 84.x or something?

When did this start, only after you got the newest drivers? or have you by chance just recently bought this video card as well?
Try using Driver Cleaner (google it) to remove all your video card drivers then install the newest drivers.

Re: RTW: Problems with Video (Help?)
Thanks for the ideas,
I cleaned out the drivers and re-installed and still have the problem. I dont think its a forceware driver, I'll look for one of those. I have also checked my RAM and it is all good. I've checked the disk, defraged the hard drive. Updated and re-installed all drivers. I'm completely stumped.
Someone suggested there is a way to overpower the NVIDIA cards. But, I might just have a bad card.

It would just be in your system info for windows (in control panel), but I'm guessing you do not, unless your computer is very new.
What version of windows media player do you have?

Re: RTW: Problems with Video (Help?)
In the "System" Icon I can see that I have an:
AMD Athelon(tm) XP 2200+
1.80 Ghz, 1.00 GB of RAM.
Does that help?
Thanks for thinking about this everyone, I really do want to get this game going. Especially after droping $70 including the guide book.
