Hi,
I just wanted to hear a couple of your greatest moments in N:TW
Cheers!
Winning a battle against a full stack of rebels with my 3 units of line infantry and 2 cannons on Hard has to rank pretty high in my list
Greatest moments with NTW were those first hours ... After battle of Lodi and Arcole in Napoleons battles i have becamed addicted to napoleonic era. I started to learn french...and spent nights on web studying everything to do with Napoleon. No game before made me explore and learn new things such as NTW.
I could never get into N:TW after Empire, but I seriously hope the modders keep up the good work and release something new from the newly released files that CA made public. I personally love the era, but cant enjoy it knowing it could of been so much better.
Kye.
In my first battle against Nappy, I was outnumbered and losing badly. I sent my last two regiments on a suicide charge. As they reached the line I zoomed in.... "has anyone seen the Colonel?" and the second...."are they really trying to kill us Sarge?" Never laughed so hard.
Napoleon suicide charged me![]()
Fact:Apples taste good, and you can throw them at people if you're being attacked

Ditto so did Wellington, Blucher and Kutuzov only ArchDuke Charles accepted that his physical body was not invincible. But mine would probably have to be this online battle where I was outnumbered by 300 men and I was Prussia and fighting a guy with Britain. I used my artillery like a crack addict because I had 4 units of it all 12 pounders and destroyed his 3 units of hussars. All the while he ouflanked my cannons with 1 dragoonsand took 1 unit, fortunately it took him a while to do it and I moved the other 3 units of artillery to destroy the 1 dragoon unit. Then his 2 howitzer units were giving my infantry casualties so I moved what was left of the artillery to destroy his howitzers although I lost 1 unit of artillery. Of course he got desperate and decided to charge me head on with some 5 skirmishers and 1 elite with the rest being line infantry. My 2 cuirassiers were hiding on the sides. My 3 skirmishers on the front covering the line. eventually 2 skirmishers gave way and routed so I decided to use the royal guard to hold the line and I bayonetted the poor bastard! He took so much losses that he retreated but mind you I lost half my army due to the skirmishers and pulled back after. Then I just bombarded him with artillery but his skirmishers attacked it until I broke them with grapeshot. He used half his army on my left flank while I guarded the right with artillery and 3 units. The left was a hard one so I used the guard and 1 unit ran out of powder so I charged it but he made a square. I threw all of my cavalry on that square and cut it off from the rest of his army and destroyed it then I did a cannae with a bayonet charge and cavalry in his rear and moved the artillery to cut off his right then as I was about to win he quit. Me a 5 star beat an 8 star, agressive use of artillery gets em every time
.
Seeing the enemy, usually the Austrians lol try to advance into the non-stop firing of line infantry and canons. Just a general moment of brilliance i love to witness in every battle![]()
Cry God for Harry, England and Saint George!
Kye - Try NTW3 or the NTW3 submod I just put out. You'll have many more great moments than you've had before.

Somewhat funny moment
held off a french army almost two times my size because they kept charging through the gate of my fort and I had two units of scottish infantry on either side of the gate so everytime the french charged in they were massacred by my crossfire.
When I win great victories against heavy numbers or superiour troops, using all the tactics in my arsenal. A particular battle where I ambushed a 3/4 sized Russian stack in the forested mountains of Balkan, using only 5 units of Chasseurs and a 6'horse arty and my general. I killed more than 500 Russians vs. my own 23 deads. That was great......
Playing the campaign of the coalition with Great Britain and never intervening in the mainland with an army. Should have seen how quickly I controlled the seas, and the French pretty much most of the land.
Founding out that I can have 20+ cannons on one unit.
It is incredibly fun.![]()
Having a battery of 12Ibers emplaced facing the breach in my fort wall, setting canister shot and sitting back![]()
Killing napoleon with a single cannon in the first 10 seconds of a battle.
I had a 6 cannon alone couse the rest died in the previous fight and nappy and hes 29 men bodyguard charged straight at it i fired my cannon short zoomed in and got the greatest sight ive ever seen.
A cannon ball hitting the floor right infront of hes guard bouncing over his guards head taking nappy full on in the face then sailing over the rest of hes men to hit the ground behind them.
Boom cannon headshot!!!!!!!
I am the shadow, and the smoke in your eyes I am the ghost, that hides in the night.
We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France,
we shall fight on the seas and oceans,
we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be,
we shall fight on the beaches,
we shall fight on the landing grounds,
we shall fight in the fields and in the streets,
we shall fight in the hills;
we shall never surrender.
" The dark is generous.
Its first gift is concealment: our true faces lie in the dark beneath our skins, our true hearts remain shadowed deeper still. But the greatest concealment lies not in protecting our secret truths, but in hiding from the truths of others.
The dark protects us from what we dare not know.
Its second gift is comforting illusion: the ease of gentle dreams in night’s embrace, the beauty that imagination brings to what would repel in the day’s harsh light. But the greatest of its comforts is the illusion that dark is temporary: that every night brings a new day. Because it’s the day that is temporary.
Day is the illusion.
Its third gift is the light itself: as days are defined by the nights that divide them, as stars are defined by the infinite black through which they wheel, the dark embraces the light, and brings it forth from the center of its own self.
With each victory of the light, it is the dark that wins.
The dark is generous, and it is patient.
It is the dark that seeds cruelty into justice, that drips contempt into compassion, that poisons love with grains of doubt.
The dark can be patient, because the slightest drop of rain will cause those seeds to sprout.
The rain will come, and the seeds will sprout, for the dark is the soil in which they grow, and it is the clouds above them, and it waits behind the star that gives them light.
The dark’s patience is infinite.
Eventually, even stars burn out.
The dark is generous, and it is patient, and it always wins.
It always wins because it is everywhere.
It is in the wood that burns in your hearth, and in the kettle on the fire; it is under your chair and under your table and under the sheets on your bed. Walk in the midday sun, and the dark is with you, attached to the soles of your feet.
The brightest light casts the darkest shadow.
The dark is generous and it is patient and it always wins – but in the heart of its strength lies its weakness: one lone candle is enough to hold it back.
Love is more than a candle.
Love can ignite the stars."
Alpha and Omega the beginning and the end.
You began the war.
I am going to end it!
Well with the mods I have, that make bonets looks real, and British linemen look amazing I'd have to say the battle of waterloo! it looks so like the real thing it's unbelievable! that and fighting it out with the eygptians in the shadows of the pyramids!![]()
Field Marshal Horatio Herbert Kitchener, 1st Earl Kitchener KG, KP, GCB, OM, GCSI, GCMG, GCIE, ADC, PC (24 June 1850 – 5 June 1916), was an Irish-born British Field Marshal and proconsul who won fame for his imperial campaigns and later played a central role in the early part of the First World War, although he died halfway through it.
My best moment would be when I was bombarding some British Foot with rockets for fun,I zoomed in on the Foot and I Heard:"This is bloody dangerous, Sarge!".
I zoomed in a little later and:"Sarge, is it just me, or are they trying to kill us?".
When I was tweaking the smokes for our mod.
At some settings it was dense and long lasting (too long actually, I changed).
But at some points there was a forest with highlanders in it. There was a lot of smoke due to musket fire, the highlanders were holding there gound against my French fusilier... When they were suddenly hit by a cuirassiers charge coming from behind, out of the heavy smoke like ghosts.
