Hi
What are your PC specs?
CPU core i5 750 ,constantly overclocking (because it is always on a safe temp of 30 degrees) on 3.5 gHz . I do know that RTW uses only one core.
gtx275 896 Mb
4 gb RAM
64 bit win7

Did you change any of the detail levels (ie for vegetation, grasses etc in the video options? what size units are you using?

Yes i changed them a little bit.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
I tend to listen to moviemusic when im playing rs ,so could the extra process possibly load the single core used by the mod?

Not on a quad core no, as RTW will only use the one, and the OS should put the load on the idle ones.
Try it without and see if that makes a difference, but it shouldnt.
To what century said, yes thats because on lower spec PCs with huge battles, the calculations required take longer and more resources, so clicking before the calculations are complete will cause the game to CTD.
From what i remember, the only fix was to leave it two minutes after H U G E battles, to make sure everythings complete.
Although on a quad core i5 pc with 4gbs of ram thats quite weird, might be an Overclocking issue. Whats the normal speed of the processor?
2.6 was a quick google search, so 2.6/4 = 0.65ghz per core, so you see the possible problem there.
3.5/4 = 0.87ghz
Which is why a single core at 2ghz would kick a newer pcs butt (theoretically)
I know its a bit more complicated than that but its a rough idea of the problem.
I hear that there is very Random CTD's after long hard fought battles. That it happens randomly and out of the blue.
I don't think there is a fix to it.

Try medium settings, also try using anti-aliasing on, I know it says you shouldn't but it also can work as stopping CTD's. Definitely leave the grass at medium unless you have a whacking great graphics card. your screen shot only shows half the screen for me but that happens sometimes so apologies if you already have it at medium.

As everyone is saying change your settings from low to medium and test the game. If it still crashes then there is a deeper problem at work

Small update ,for the moment after about >10h playtime I have only experienced one CTD ,which might have been caused by only waiting 1 min. For the rest it is perfect. No CTDs ,so the anti alias on low and 2min wait minimum works perfectly.![]()

Ahh good to see
Try upping the AA again, see if you can get the better graphics back, but keep the crashes away. Its a shame it takes two minutes but it forces you to take a break![]()
its recommended you turn off AA by tone. You can still have the affect by going into your graphics card control panel and manually setting the graphics card to handle AA. Then you can have your anti-aliasing, just without (as much) lag !
Great man. Glad to hear
