    Default reducing distance to capital penalty

    i don't want to get rid of it completely, just reduce it to make the game more realistic. So can anyone tell me how to edit the files to do this?

    I'm guessing it's hard coded.

    You could try a hidden trait. Something like: DistanceToCapital Penality > x,
    then give trait xyz
