    Default Most Annoying Moments

I have 2 from my recent campaign.

    1. The Greek and Pontus area is always giving me trouble with unrest. Very annoying, especially when I could use troops that are sitting on garrison duty while I war with Brutii.

    2. I let one Pontus city revolt in order to try and fix unrest, and somehow the city's troops after the revolt were all gold chevron ranks... Even going against them with an equal army of silver chevron the best I could do was lose my entire army and whittle them down to only 80-ish men. I ended up having to siege the town for 20 turns or so before I finally managed to do a random auto battle and win 600 losses to 600.

When the crappy AI constantly attacks you with tiny armies instead of with one big army which would actually be a challenge.

-The endless spam of "Mummy returns" armies when you come across Egypt and, when you've finally captured Cairo, the huge unrest means you can't leave it ungarrisoned, so they start spamming more armies. Tedious.

I know. What made it worse is that I was Julii and the Marian* Reforms had just happened, so I basically had a huge army of Principles and light Cavalry, etc. All had silver chevrons and all were irreplaceable, because of the reforms. I'm just glad the reforms don't mess up my Wardogs, because I love my 2 or 3 gold chevron Wardogs.

I forget where cairo is, however if you capture the settlement right underneath Alexandria and above Thebes you get the Great Pyramids, which solved all of my issues with the population of Egypt for a while since it increases happiness in all Egyptian settlements.

No wonder I didn't know where it was, lol. Yeah, it's not in Vanilla, and the city I was referring to was Memphis.

Alexandria, seaport at top: Pharos (affects fleet)

Memphis, central: Pyramids (no culture penalty from egyptian culture)

    Thebes, lower: tax blob

Rebel fleets being irritatingly overpowered annoyed me more than anything else in vanilla, as well as randomly spawning rebel armies that were too small to be worth the effort, too large to be dealt with by garrison forces and caused devastation.
Jesus, yes! This is such a royal pain in the arse when doing immigration campaigns, which is one of the things i love to do the most, i end up having to waste time because i need either a shipwright or 6-8 biremes.

and rebels, well, a good mod would be that they only spawn if the nearby city had the red/blue face.

In the later game, the rebels will have diplomats and ask for peace and if you accept the devestation will end and they don't tend to break the ceasfire.

My most annoying is when I was the Julii, the Gauls always attack me with armies of two warbands and sometimes with a warlord.

In my current campaign the Rebels have over a full stack of Triremes around the Briton islands....It's ridiculous... The AI seems determined to me with Rebels and revolts this campaign...

When the Scipii send constant half stacks into Siwa so I have to use my legions there (I'm Seleucids) and the closest settlements away are 2 turns with my damn, but fun to use onagers.

one time in a siege battle my general (who was also my faction leader) got killed by one of my own onager shots, I won the battle, however after I broke the damned (and not to mention over powerrd) romans my settlement revoulted becuase my factionleader was the governer and died.

having such a small garrison left the city went rebel, I quickly marched my nearest army to retake it, and those gold chevron rebel units ed up my army so bad.
next turn the juli pwned my last army and after that I was just trying to build upp an army and still hold on to my cities, right then the germans, pontus and sythians decided to backstab me and took 2/3 of my once powerfull empire, when I lost my last city to a rubbish juli army consisting of mostly auxilia troops I just wentand said it.

I played as the dacians, and I'll never use onagers to defend a city again

I never lost a general to onages. I just place the onagers on the sides of my army, then I place horse units behind them.

But I did lose a general because I told him to attack a unit right by the bridge and so he just thought he could kill them by running into the river. I had plans for him to become my top general. Looks like I should've chosen differently.
