    Default Getting a Masons' Guild?

Hey everyone, how do you succeed at getting a Masons' Guild? I was trying the following:
-put a governor in a city.
-set taxes to normal or higher
-build a stonemason building, then destroy it, repeating over and over but didn't manage to get one even after awhile.

Anyone have any tips for getting one?

*The castle version of the Armourer actually generates 15 points instead of the cities version 20. I think the programmer made a mistake with the city version and it should be 15.

Wait, hold on...so the things that give points towards Masons is the same in vanilla as in SS 6.4? I looked through the export_descr_guilds.txt file in the SS folder, and didn't see any triggers that gave points for completion of those barracks/armor/etc buildings, only ones for wall upgrades, which makes it seem very hard to be able to get a Masons Guild.

Has anyone successfully gotten a Masons' Guild to be built in their faction? How did you manage it?

Shame on lazy me. I wasn't sure how much code SS retained from vanilla, but as you could see, you can still find the triggers. It's not that I use them though - Masons guild appears quite randomly in castles as long as you keep refusing other buildings and upgrading every turn. I always have 1 master mason's cause I build masons when I have all master guilds.

Getting a masons guild is useless, by the time you get one you got most stuff build. Furthermore you can't reach HQ level when it matters (Building ALL buildings in a city generates 285 points for that city and 30 in other settlements, for castles its 235 points and 24 in other settlements. So to get a HQ offer (450 points) you need the equivialent of maximizing 6 cities something that will not happen anytime soon (150+turns late campaign). By this time all relevant city's already got a guild.....

Therefor i think it would be reasonable that like with any other guild out there that triggers on units (except explorers and hanseatic guild), this one too should get points for building a unit/or from a event (like I dunno get points for building diplomats? or add events like the ones for pirates, merchants, priests, princesses but than one for builders to get more points).

Or double the points you get from each trigger.

The triggers are very strange - being in peace gives you points from various guilds and being in war gives you points from other guilds. Of course there are buildings which give you points. Just look at that file for more information.
