Default Just some info for while I'm gone:

I'm going to be leaving for a couple weeks tomorrow, and will not have access to the internet much (if at all). If I have left things in a lurch, I'm sorry...I've banged my head against the wall trying to find every possible cause of these CTD's that I can, and I'm just brain dead and tired and need a vacation.

But, if anyone does come up with a solution I have missed while I'm gone, there are some things I want people to know.

The following campaigns have unique files regarding traits and\or ancillaries:

The Greek swap faction EDCT file is common to Bosporan, Bithynia, Massalia and Syracuse.
The Greek swap faction 'export_vnvs.txt' file is unique to each campaign (different descriptions for some things).

The Capuan EDCT is unique and a WIP.

The Galatian EDCT and export_vnvs.txt files are unique to that campaign.

The Parthian EDCT file is unique to that campaign only.

The EDCT and export_vnvs.txt' files are common for all other campaigns except the two Roman camapigns.

The two Roman campaigns are unique from all others, but share the same EDCT and export_vnvs.txt.

Both ancillaires files are common to all campaigns EXCEPT the Greek swap factions (where the two Ephors ancillaries triggers are commented out).

I'm sharing this just so that people know that a 'fix', if found to be in a traits or ancillaries file, can't just be thrown into one EDCT and copied to all campaigns.

OK guys, I'm back......it felt good to just not even look at a PC for two weeks. Still, I am mystified by this dang CTD after 10 turns. But...it does help that it's consistent, so I'll be trying to fix this asap.
Am I correct that it seems to be the Free Greeks...at least mostly...that are the culprit?

Wouldn't swear that it is them, all my campaigns are halted so I'll try them later with fow and see who causes it for mine.

Welcome back. I've been pretty busy with work, being away and various hospital appointments, so haven't had a lot of time.....I'm still doing a little battlemap tweaking.

Didn't need reconstruction as it was only shallow and with the Mohs' surgery over at St Thomas they were able to keep the bottom layer of skin intact. At the moment I've got a big scab around 1.5cm on the side of my nose which should all heal naturally.

DVK.. glad to see that you had a well earned break !!

CTD's seem to be happening to all of the Greek based factions at 538 AUC - have started new Seleucids, Macedon, Sparta, free Greeks in addition to the individual Massila/Syracuse/Bosphurs camps before you went on hols and all bug out on turn 6-7

Ok, as soon as I get a break from the kids, I'm going to have to start looking at the Greek traits. I have checked all the names files and descr_strat.txt files for errors that would lead to such a CTD, but found nothing......so it must be a trait that's doing it, even though I have checked the traits as well with Squid's latest Validator (numerous times) and that finds nothing either.

None yet. I have checked a lot of stuff, but cannot find any 'errors', so to speak. I have a suspicion that the problem is in the Greek trait triggers somewhere....had a trigger that was causing a CTD long ago that 'looked' fine according to Squid's validator, but was apparently conflicting with another trigger or event. It involved faction leaders or heirs. But I've gone thru them and man, I just can't see what's wrong. The '10-turn' thing should provide a clue, but even that makes little sense.
That it happens in all campaigns says it's something in all the trait files...so at least 'mentally'...I'm slowly narrowing it down. Haven't had much time to actually work on it unfortunately. RL has just been too busy.

Sorry for the delays, but I haven't given up.

A few things people might do to help is first, play a Free Greek campaign and see if anyone can spot the problem in there. Look for cloned characters (not likely) or anything odd.
Play a campaign without the script running....just to eliminate the chance that it's a script error (again, unlikely, but possible).
