Windows Cannot find "kingdoms.exe"- Again

I've tried solving this problem on my own, but after two days I don't think I'm making any sort of headway. I've looked at topics made by other people on this forum as well as other but due to the usual lack of any sort of explanation following a message that they got it working, it also doesn't seem to be working for me.

I have the GG gold version. It's patched to 1.0.5 so far as I know. I've right clicked and activated administrator privileges on the installer, I've moved the default installation location to my favorites folder where my medieval 2 TW gold version is installed right into the mod folder, so it's in the right place so far as I can follow the instructions.

Here is a picture of the error in action, I've just right clicked the call of warhammer icon on my desktop and activated administrator privileges to play it:



Also important to note I think is where the short cut to the Call of Warhammer folder is in my program files. It's not in the mod section of medieval total war in my program files. It has it's own separate folder with the short cuts in there.The folder with all the Call of Warhammer data is in the total war folder in my favorites folder, but aside from all the kingdom mods, it's not showing up.

Edit: NVM about the game being 1.05, it's actually the unpatched 1.03 gold version. I assumed it was fully patched as was the Rome gold version. I'll see if this solves the problem.

Kingdoms must be updated to v1.05 for CoW to run correctly.

Also, did you disable UAC before installing CoW?

It worked, I don't know which one it was, but after upgrading to 1.05 and installing the mod again with UAC off, the mod is working.

I have downloaded the patch and disabled uac's and it is saying the same thing for me, this worked for a while on my old laptop now I can't get it to work on my new one that will actually run this game well. Kind of frustrated.

Are you using Steam to run CoW?

Are there any significant differences between your old PC and the new one that could potentially cause this error?

I am not using steam and the major change, beyond computing power, is the change from vista to windows 7. I have read the attention windows 7 thread and followed its instructions, but still no luck.

Are you having problems with other mods besides CoW?

Also, where did you download the installation files? (Did you use the official links, my 5-part links or RD's torrent?)

I downloaded it to medieval 2 main mods section and i used the FULL ENGLISH ver. Call of Warhammer: Total War" МOD v. 1.4.4 with music!!! download on http://empiretw.ru/board/index.php?s...0&#entry552880. Also I haven't downloaded any other mods yet.


Edit: Never mind, let it sit for a couple hours, then on a whim i tried loading it up again and it worked beautifully. Thank you for the quick replies though.
