Starring Ralph Fiennes and Gerard Butler, it is based on a Shakespeare play which is about a 5th Century BC Roman general, Gaius Marcius Coriolanus.

Brian Cox? This film has my approval.

If this film is set in the 5th century why does it have the roles of 'TV Pundit' and 'TV War Correspondent'?

I do not fear the coursing of the Irish sea

Because its not set in 5th century rome. Its a modern adaptation of the Shakespeare play. Like Romeo + Juliet was with Leo DiCaprio.

Well that version of Romeo & Juliet was awful so I don't have high hopes for this.

It looks like a modern imagining of Imperial Rome, rather than any present day nation.

Ah, well then this will be fun. Perhaps it's a story about General Petraeus?

I'm really curious how they did the part where Coriolanus' mother and wife persuade him to go back and quit the war.
