    Default unspecified error when destroying/conquering SCOTLAND

    after i completed my siege on scotland's last town i get "unspecified error" !!!!
    please help.....

    i have 6.4 with BGRIV_E and NHA...

    again please help...

    use "surrender_regions scotland" and then take the settlement.

    well that work alright.... and thank you for the help again... but...

    last night I played almost until 3am in the morning just to make the DANES end my war then... the same thing happens!!!!
    a fortress i just completed siege had the whole game stop on " Unspecified Error" !!! same thing as the SCOTS!!!!

    I did the siege again and the same error... now i cant use the "surrender_regions Scotland" script because the DANES still have about 5 or more settlements!!!! and it would make the whole game easy that way... and i'm afraid other factions i'm about to conquer would have the same error ...

    does anyone know how to fix this error??? please help

    Upgrade your Battle AI by installing the latest version found in the Germanicus Battle AI sticky in the submod forum.
    Install the reduced city textures found in the stickied "before posting: how to deal with crashes" topic in the bug report forum.
    Implement the other tips found in the "before posting: how to deal with crashes and fatal errors" topic.

    Hi,

    I had the same problem like regie27m, except I was playing portugal and the unspecified error happened after a battle with the last city of the moorish. I did what bane said, the rebel-cheat worked ... but sadly, the error came back when I defended one of my castles ... and in one or two other battles also.
    I don't understand how the battle-AI should be linked to this crashes.

    Anyway, I'll give it a try with the reduced city textures ... although this should not be a problem, my pc should handle the normal textures quite well, since there are no lags or such.
    Any other idea? Has someone else made a statement, that this city-texture-reducing works?

    Thats not the only thing to do. The latest directx9 should be installed as well etc.

    Of course, I made the whole "before posting" program ... still there are these few ctds after sometimes long exhausting battles.

    Just to be safe here: Are we talking about crashes at the end of a battle while still in the 3d view or crashes after battles on the campaign map?

    no, it crashes after the battle is over... meaning when the popup gives you the option of "sack settlement, occupy, or massacre them" just when you click those options " unspecified error" comes out... it only happens when settlements of faction you are about to annihilate or a heir to the throne or a king is inside the settlement you'd just taken

    oh, I'm sorry, but I'm experiencing only crashes at the end of battles while still in 3d-mode ... when the battle results screen appears

    Now to my favorite part of this program: The savegame-o-mania. Please upload savegames made before battles that lead to this issue. Add your specific details to the post you are attaching the savegames to (where the battle is, what submods you selected after the campaign selection, whether you installed any further mods or not, especially true for msc).

    Here it is.
    It's Eraly Era. Permanent Towers. Lustets AI or how it is called, I think ... No further mods.
    I'm besieged at Alexandria and this is where I take my army from the city to the battlefield. After that, there was the error, we all know very well at this time^^
