This is awesome thanks Prince
And thanks to karaislam for helping to improve this thread. PLUS REP FOR BOTH
EDIT: Also, I have noticed on the vanilla game (which is surprisingly accurate sometimes) that the Beylik Janissaries are have musketeers and grenadiers, would this be accurate or just a "Disney" feature?
Also on the vanilla game there are irregular infantry called "Azzars", would these actually have existed?
EDIT AGIAN: Also, would the Nizam-i-Cedid have grenadiers?
EDIT AGAIN AGAIN!!!: I was reading through John R. Elting's Napoleonic Uniforms volume 4, and read about an Ottoman Janissary unit named the "Solaks", the only thing I read about them is that they were dressed in full yellow. Do you think they belong in this thread??

From all of the material I have read, I have not detected any sub-divisions of troop types along typical European lines other than Nizam-i Cedid Fusiliers, so I suspect this is as you so kindly put it a "Disney" feature but I do stand to be corrected. But the Ottomans certainly used grenades in the 1683 siege of Vienna.....(18,000 brass & 2,000 iron - page 45 of "Guarding the Frontier : Ottoman Border Forts & Garrisons in Europe" by Mark L Stein)

And these are probably the last questions, what, if any, cavalry of the Ottoman Army fought on camels instead of horses? And did the Ottomans still use war elephants in their army?
I think the main problem with camels is probably that they were not use in the European campaigns, only in Egypt.
Kairaslam : Could you please confirm some translation for me? I'm trying to use name of units in original language. I tried to find the correct info on line, but it's not always easy.
I've used mostly the base unit lines from the vanilla game, trying to find better names. So perhaps some of these units shouldn't exist at all.

You didn't spell Nizam-I-Ceded properly, the way CA spelt it is wrong.
There was no such thing as Ottoman Grenadiers in the Napoleonic Era according to Princes texts.
There was no Mounted Nizam-I-Cedid either, the only Nizam-I-Cedid cavalry were lancers.
Ottomans didn't call their foot artillery "foot artillery", they called them "field guns", and called their horse artillery "horse guns"
Sipahi were part of their so called "guard cavalry" too
You spelt Mamelukes wrong in english, and in Turkish its "Memlük"
Those Deli Light Cavalry would probably be Irregular Cavalry.
Beylik is correctly called "Benluk"
Not sure if Azzars are actually a unit, probably just some irregulars from the Balkans
No idea what the Basibozuk are, never heard of them.
Nizam-I-Cedid actually didn't have any light infantry units as far as I know, they were all just Fusiliers but they were probably trained in light infantry duties, but some men were equipped with rifles.
The Provincial Nizam-I-Cedid Infantry are correct.
The Libyan bedouin are just irregulars and probably don't need a separate unit for them, same with the Palestinian auxiliary.
And the Peasant militia are actually called "Derbend Muhafızı".
I hope that help with your list a bit
EDIT: Actually it turns out that the Deli Cavalry were regular cavalry in the Ottomans Army. I was wondering if you had any further information on these units Prince.

http://tr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nizam-%C4%B1_Cedid
The Turkish page of wiki spells them Nizam-I Cedit.
Memlûkler comes from http://tr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meml%C3%BBkler
So no offense DJ, but I'd rather have an answer from someone who would be a native speaker
No offence taken, but when I got to that wiki page it says Cedid, then when I translate it it says Jadid. Even in the URL it says Cedid.
And most the information above came from either karaislam or Prince. karaislam seems to know Turkish, so he can trust him which is where I got the correct names from, and Prince knows pretty much everything about the Napoleonic Wars which is where I got all the other historical stuff from, so you can trust him. Just about none of the above information is my own.
Yes, Cedid, but in your previous post you said Ceded. That got me confused.
All my texts point to Djellis or however they should be spelt (I have beem looking at an english version of an Ottoman dictionary & encyclopaedia to try and find the alternative spelling/name but so far no luck...) as irregular cavalry. Balkan bandits by background, relying on booty for pay, with the reputation for ferocious fighting & individual, personal bravery. They were armed with a lance as the principal weapon, but would also carry a musket & pistols. Acted as the scouts of the army/flank guards; if had to be used on the main battlefield, would launch squadron sized attacks, several simulataneously though uncoordinated.
