In that period and basically throughout Middle Ages it was exactly the other way around. Those were HRE lands and French PSFs on them (Burgundy, Provence, eastern Champagne). The border was traditionally (since Treaty of Verdun 843) Rhône and Saône but it was not always respected of course.

Fort ownership is represented on the campaign minimap is it not? I remember that in DLV. And you've implemented the neutral transgression scripts?
Not sure if that's even possible as mini-map is hard-coded as is. Only background and secondary colour can change (the famous no borders on minimap). What do you mean by neutral transgression scripts?

The texture for land is just gorgeous. France looks like a beautiful, glistening jewel in a dark period. +rep you guys Honestly, I've never played France in Med2, like ever. This makes me think about playing them.
+rep Sumskilz for the textures! They are his superb work. And thank you for all the praise. :-)

Although it was with a lot of feedback from the other guys on the team, especially Resurrection and Ed. Some textures I still consider to be WIPS. I intend to create some more and do some fine-tuning. It takes a lot of trial and error to get things to blend smoothly from one texture to the next... and yeah, thanks everyone.

I'm pretty sure that occupied forts show up as dots colored with whoever owns them. At least that's how it looked on DLV.

I haven't seen a response to Silesian Noble's query and I'm dying to know this as well....

    Two other things:

    1. Will the player be able to tell which PSF's will have a field battle imposed on them? It was noted that not all PSF's will result in a siege if engaged.

    2. As we all acclimate to the idea of a map being covered in small castles and keeps, one must consider that in history, many garrisons simply surrendered without a fight, all across time and the world. You've thought of the siege fatigue by forcing some of them to be field battles -- will there also be the possibility of a capitulation?

Finaly Iberia has an Arid look. I can identify many of the psf's in south Catalonia. Very well placed! (Brennas certainly did a good job)

I wonder, will psf's be able to have a unique battle map along with a unique apperence?
For example, Morella (secound fort south of the Ebro) is located ontop of a great rock and was very hard to subjugate. I hope you will be able to represent that...

Can't wait to fly the arms of the Crown of Aragon atop of all those neat forts!

Yep, that's Morella alright. :-) Unfortunately unique battlefields are not possible but there are faction specific appearances and to them are tied the battlefields so there will be a lots of variety eventually at least.

It could be made into contest if people recognize some of those PSFs as actual places. Although some of them are slightly off their correct locations due to engine limitations (huge rivers etc.).

    Too bad.

Well, if there were a competition, some people would have a serious advantage, because they live in the proximity of the forts.

I'm up for it too. It will surely be fun!

About city names: Once conquered will we be able to change them without interfearing with any scripts?

You mean manually changing the names as you can in vanilla? Yes. I believe we will also have some settlements automatically change name depending on which faction controls the settlement. For instance London for England, Londres if it was France controlling it.
