Missing launch button

RS 2 is fine and working; however, after disk cleaning and defragmentation, the round shield launch button is replaced by a windows folder symbol.
The symbol launches the game but I am missing the unique round shield launch button-
Can someone please tell me how to place the symbol from the RS2 game folder unto the folder symbol on my Desktop?

OK i assume you mean the desktop shortcut?


1) If so, you need to right click on it, click properties.
2) Then click at the bottom, change icon.
3) Click it, you should have a display of icons etc, click browse.
4) Navigate to where you installed RS2, and there should be a file there called RS2.ico or similar.
5) Select that, click ok, click ok again until all the windows disappear , and it shouldve changed the icon for you
This is the windows 7 version, should be similar for all windows though.
