No, I won't ask how I can choose my faction heir. I have a method in order to do this.
But this doesn't want to work anymore, that's the matter ! I've made a trait that give the guy I want to become my heir a huge amount of authority. When a faction leader dies, the son who has the most of authority became his heir. Theorically it works perfectly, actually it has always worked well for me. I enjoyed many true dynasties 'til I got bored of them and decided to put an end to them.
But now I am really pissed off. My emperor has four potential heirs, only one of them is his child and they all have 3/4 children, except the son who isn't married. I gave the son the trait I talked about, and when the former emperor died, I expected the son of the new emperor to become the heir. He didn't.
Instead of him, I got an arse called Astikos who was old, who had no skill, who was ruining my empire. Right ! I sent him in a "death ship" to encounter some nice pirates, he died. I thought that Vasileios, the heir I want, would finally take his place. Hell no ! The elder son of Astikos became the heir. I killed him, his brother became heir, I killed the brother, the last one became the heir, I finally killed the last brother. And OBVIOUSLY one of the three remaining douchebags, who is OBVIOUSLY not the heir I want became the heir. So I stopped here. I didn't want to have to slaughter half of my family.
What the hell is wrong ? Vasileios has a huge authority. He should became the bloody heir ! This way to choose an heir used to work perfectly with me. I don't want a fool to rule my Empire, moreover I want the Komnenoi to give more than two emperors to Byzantium !
Sorry for my english.![]()
