Default Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, and whatever else.

I'm interested in these philosophies, what are there basic principles and such? I know a bit about each, especially Buddhism, but not much, and I'm interested because I really don't consider myself Christian anymore, not like I ever was much of one, I just followed the traditions.

A lot of Christians tend to assume that other religions are similar to Christianity, but they're really not. Buddha is not just Buddhism's version of Christ, for example.

I suppose you could just Google all three religions if you want to know more, but as a general tip, just keep in mind that they are more like philosophies of life than the kind of religion you're probably used to (ie- one with supernatural sapient gods or demigods that you're supposed to fear and/or worship).

Taoism is often compared to the Force from Star Wars (seriously); it's about the balance between yin and yang (you know, the Dark Side of the Force and the Light Side of the Force), and the flow of energy in our bodies and the universe. Buddhism is an atheistic religion, and is more of a philosophy of life. It can contain supernatural beliefs (eg- reincarnation, karma) but it doesn't have actual deities. Confucianism is basically a moral code, ie- another philosophy. Think of Confucius the way you would think of Socrates: as a teacher of values and moral beliefs.
