No idea... does it work that way in vanilla? I rarely, if ever, look for wives outside of my family and random marriage events..

Your fraction is muslim, and family members belonging to muslim fractions cannot marry princesses. And princesses cannot suggest marriages to muslim charakters. Because muslim fractions do not spawn princesses.

So it is. It shouldn't be that way though, royal marriage on cross of religions have been attempted and completed more than once during medieval history.

Thanks for trying to help. I've actually found the solution - I simply had to put "yes" next to "can have princesses" in descr_sm_factions Kwar section. Checking own princesses (which I "made" my faction have) would've crashed the game (due to lack of sprites I assume), but it's ok if all you do is load the save, make the proposal, save, and edit the file to "no" again. It is NOT hardcoded.

The hint that Muslims couldn't marry Catholics was a nice clue to what I actually had to look for. If I had read your post sooner, Sweger, it would've cost me way less work... both +repped. Thanks to all who tried to help - this one is solved.

You won't get that straight away unless you download 1MB/s... that thing is heavyweight as it needs more than 8 GB setup + patch files
