Default Issue installing Third Age Total War

I played the Third Age Total War mod a while ago, before formatting my hard drive. I recently decided to re-download it and play it as it is a very fun and well-made mod.

But this time around, it refuses to install properly. Every time I install the first part - it works fine. When I try to install the second part, it then says "mods\Third_Age\data\fmv\events\fs_aragorn.bik: This file contains invalid data. (error 11FD)."

The file that it mentions changes each time I uninstall/re-install either part. I tried installing directly into the Medieval II Steam folder, and creating a folder outside of the steam folder and installing it there. I still got the same error. I also re-downloaded both parts only to have the exact same error.

I would try torrenting the files instead, but no matter what I do torrents lock up my computer - which is another issue I'm trying to deal with.

Anybody have any suggestions or know if I'm doing something wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply, Legolose, but I just tried downloading it a fourth time and got the same error, after re-downloading the first part several times.

I even downloaded the four part files, but ended up with a winrar error about corrupted files.

I'm gonna try and torrent it and hope it doesn't lock up my computer.

maybe try reformatting the computer?.....maybe you have an older version still in your file-system not allowing you to overwrite it?
