Screen flicker

Hi I recently re-installed the game after not having played in a while, but now the game is all messed up. The intro before the main menu flickers and when I get to a the menu screen that flickers also. If I go into a sub-menu such as single player I get big white letters in rows and columns and in game the menu screens will flicker in with the game map. I have tried re-installing twice to no effect. I know this is a bad description but I don't know any other way to describe it any advice would be appreciated.

It's the technical help forum here in TWC.

Now, also, this sounds to me like either a CPU, RAM or video card problem. I would suggest updating your video card driver first and foremost, and from there... Could you please supply the system specs of your computer?

Thanks for responding and linking the tech forum. My specs are

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ 2.20 GHz
Ram: 2GB
OS: Vista 32-bit Operating System

Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6100 nForce 405

Your video card's the problem. I had GeForce 6600 and it worked horribly. Get a better one and it should be better... And if not, then at least you got a better video card

Anyways, I think it is indeed your 6100 that is the problem, it is very old.
