I would've waited for bulldozer or LGA 2011 at this point if I were you.

I see you have the Samsung T 260, that was my first dedicated gaming PC monitor a couple years ago

no point waiting on bulldozer ive been able to have a look see at its gaming performance, needless to say ill stick to the 2500k its cheaper then the comparable BD is and my $200 ECS board was free, so yea... ill take the build that has top tier components given to me, besides 2011 was delayed into 2012, and the current reports are that if it does get released by the end of this year the new platform will be Cannibalized in order to make released, even so a 6 core 12 thread chip will be released on 1155, for gaming i dont need that many cores or threads, so at this point

    socket 2011 is 2012
Bulldozer wont be here till september, and ill be selling this rig off in December, im tired of waiting and i got free parts for the SB build, ill take the here and now option with lesser cost
as for my 3d Rendering character design dosent need massive multi core machines to do, it just needs ram, and with mudbox vram, so im covered. only thing i really have left to get is a SSD to match the performance of everything else.

to elaborate Bulldozer is looking good just not good enough to make it worth my waiting

besides this build is 2 months late as it is, i had to wait on the motherboard because canada post went on strike delaying me nearly 2-3weeks

I haven't read anything that says later than Q4 2011, not that rumors can be taken as facts but where did you here it would be postponed? Just today EVGA was showing off one of their new LGA 2011 boards... Q4 makes perfect sense.

most of it is currently rumors, but theres a few id take as being close to the truth and i honestly dont think Intel is dumb enough to rush out an unfinished product unless they want another B2 -> B3 fiasco,

and again even so Q4 2011 again ill be selling the entire rig mid December, waiting for 2011 and having it for a month seems like a waste? besides you know as well as i do the age old adage that if you keep waiting you wont every buy anything, as theres always something bigger and better around the corner,

you also have to remember Ivy Bridge aka socket 2011 is 22nm, currently there are problems with 28nm let alone the smaller 22nm, which is on track but im willing to bet they dont have enough fabs at 22nm to really push production yet

    also
    http://www.guru3d.com/news/intel-22n...to-march-2012/

    http://vr-zone.com/articles/sandy-br...#ixzz1QpvOUZ9J

then theres also a little quandry with the settlement Intel signed with AMD, you see part of that settlement was giving AMD time to launch its own products now since bulldozer was delayed what does that mean for intel, unless it wants to breach that settlement, at least thats the words ive been hearing from numerous reviewers.

so take it all with a grain of salt as all of it is probably PART of the equation but not the full issue.

    also from what i understand

single thread performance on 2011 isnt any improvement over 1155, and the IMC for quad channel memory isnt where it needs to be just yet either, current guesses are at least from ES samples is that the chip needs a bit more work, something the Delay would also allow for, thus giving intel a better chip they do NOT want a repeat of 1156 / 1336 where the I7s on 1156 basically stole the show away from the 1336 platform,

as it stands they released the mid range entry lvl first, releasing enthusiast parts last, most likely to make sure the high end really is high end.

and EVGA can picture all the boards they want we saw 990fx boards for nearly 6 months now and the boards have been purchasable for over a month still no Bulldozer chips tho

as with anything tho it all has to be taken with a grain of salt of course.

Also some Shots of the Motherboard.

only way to help gpu temps on a HAF 932 is to remove the 200mm fan replace it with 4x 120 / 140s if theyll work i recommend Yate Loon Mediums, both 120 and 140s are nice and there cheap. there one of the few fan makers that puts out accurate specs for the fans. ie there not overrated .

side panel gives instant air to the GPUs, should fit 4x 120s with ease, going from the 200mm side panel fan to 4x 120s dropped gpu temps about 6c at full load and the sound levels were equal to the 200mm so better air flow better temps same noise profile,

Yateloons if you get them at the right shops are $5 a pop vs $10-20 of other fans

    also more pics
