Re: Best gaming monitor?
Benq 2410T is what I have, and I like it very much.
There is a tiny bit of backlight bleed on mine when the screen is black, but of course I don't watch black screens!
It's a 120hz monitor so it can handle Nvidia 3D, but I didn't buy it for that. I bought it for it's very low input delay, very little ghosting, and 120hz refresh that allows fps higher than 60.
I wouldn't have bothered changing from my Iiyama VM Pro 514 CRT if I hadn't found this monitor, and I've never looked back.
Here's a review from the only website I've ever found that reviews monitors well: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/benq_xl2410t.htm
Other websites will try to tell you the best gaming monitor is the one with casing that looks the coolest, and stuff like that...
And BTW there is a retail bundle that includes a Zowie EC1 mouse, which I've found is a damn good mouse - So it replaced my Razor Copperhead. Maybe the Razor Deathadder is better, I was thinking to replace the Copperhead with that, but I'd imagine the difference with the EC1 is likely to be very slight (if any) and Razor has annoying software (IMO) where the EC1 just needs plugging in.

Re: Best gaming monitor?
For the sole purpose of gaming, you want to look for a low response time and a high refresh rate. Both of these factors affect input responsiveness--an effect you will notice through the feel of your mouse and keyboard. Some people will tell you that a refresh rate above 60HZ on an LCD monitor is irrelevant, and while that may be mostly true for how it actually looks, it's definitely not true for the responsiveness and feel of the mouse. This is a crucial factor (generally) for FPS gaming, but if you're more hardcore on the RTS side of things, this will be relevant to you as well.
The monitor Taiji suggested would be perfect.
