Who knows...He just might. But I think the amount they have lined up for the first Avengers movie will be good for starters.

Sigh why do we need an origin movie, other then Superman no other superhero's origin is as ingrained in the general population's mind then spiderman. Hell kids are born with knowledge superman came from Krypton as a baby and spiderman was bitten by a radioactive spider. This is why I hate reboots its always a step back and unless you plan on doing something drastically different (as Batman did and as this DOESNT appear to be doing) then there is no point. The only thing positive I can say is I hope they feature that first person camera in the movie, its actually kinda of cool looking at web swinging from that perspective.

Yep completely stupid, they could have just continued to build on the previous movies I mean hello the comics been doing it for nearly 40 years now...

I was not happy about a reboot either...But who knows. It may turn out better than the first set of movies.

I'm just happy it isn't just being left to die.

Wow. A reboot already? Spiderman better join the avengers or something. If not this is just a waste of a movie.

I agree with Danzig. Yay, another movie telling the same damn origin story as the other movie... yay...

Ugh, c'mon, it hasn't even been that long since we last saw Spiderman reboot.

But was that Emma Stone I saw?

I had gone back several months and didn't see one...I see it now on the main page though...The last post before someone brought it back was February...

I dunno about you guys, but I think this looks ing awesome. Much darker than the first set of ones, I think I might identify more with this Peter as well.

I just want to know if they're going to make three new Spiderman movies. No doubt this will make a lot of money like all of the superhero movies are but for 's sake this is a reboot of a ing reboot! If it doesn't do as well as the studio thinks it will then they should do the only sensible thing...and reboot the rebooted reboot.

I'm tired of Superhero films and I don't see the point at all to do a new Spiderman movie when there was a successful trilogy during the last decade.

I guess Sony was disappointed by Spiderman 3's meager $890,871,626 worldwide gross... The only films that beat that gross in 2007 were Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

I wonder how the their creative meetings is, it must be something like this.

"Hmm.. how can we make more money?"
"Why don't we reboot the Spiderman franchise just as we did a couple of years ago? since those movies made a of money"
"Brilliant, we won't need any creativity and we will probably make just as much money if not more without having to buy any other expensive rights."

Same with the stupid s who will be rebooting Batman after Nolan is done, I wonder if we will have to get used to new reboots every year in the future.

You liked that? I thought it was a bit too much. Maybe it looks a lot better in the theater but whenever I see something like that it just makes me think they're trying too hard to impress. Too much CGI takes me out of a movie.

I know I'm hating on the movie. I'm against it out of principle. I will say that it looks a bit darker. That could make it better. That and Denis Leary being in it...

Sounds about right. I really can't think of anything different. Think about it. There's no creativity on their part and they'll still make a of money! Brilliant!

Oh you mean that Denis Leary guy who stole all his jokes from Bill Hicks. No, I don't like him.
But I do love Rescue Me. And that song A*hole is pretty ing funny.

And any POV movies are great. I'm still waiting for one that shows the perspective of a World War One soldier charging through the trenches.

Well the Batman reboot after Nolan is assumed to be to lighten him up a bit for a possible JLA film but given that Green Lantern has bombed at the box office who knows if Warner/DC plans on going thru with that. But yeah rebooting just seems like a cheap way out to pull couple hundred million without an original story. Thing is the last Spiderman movie already introduced Conner and could have been setup for Spiderman 4 with Lizard as an enemy without a reboot.
