    Default Spasticated Mouse

    My mouse is a new optical one. I decided to replace my old dell rollerball with it but theres a problem. Now and again the mouse will randomly dissapear and then reappear on the top right or bottom left of the screen. This is very annoying and has made gaming impossible. What could be the problem? I might just stick my old mouse in.

    it might be that you are moving the mouse over a not even ground.
    i played on a cofee table once , there were carvings..so the mous was jumping.
    could also be a driverproblem. make sure you have the right mousedriver..often u dont need one but u never know.
    or the mouse is crap...sometimes a mousepad can help

    thanks ahlerici think you are correct. My old mouse mat with a nice picture of a lambourghini (sp?) did have chips in it that the old roller ball never got effected by but the laser must of. 10+ mins with no mousemat and everything seems ok.

    cheers i was gona throw this new mouse out.

    Problem solved. Topic closed (wheres a admin when you need one eh?)
