1st of all, i love this mod.secondly,while playing as the julii i get a ctd at turn 255 repeatedly.
i started the campaign again and this time it hasnt crashed. but it seems there are a few ports missing(Patavium & Aquiliea),and theres deffinantly something wrong around the Dead Sea-Jordan River area(weird looking water designs).
This is awesome mod, but there are still quite a few discrepancies. These are the issues/problems I did not like:
* Julii "early legionary cohort" costs $ 720 to recruit and modern legion cohort costs $ 310
* In Sicily Syracuse path to northern town is obstructed
* Missing unit pictures and information about units.
-In Masalia (not sure about name of the unit) "galic auxilla" just says "unlocalised text"
-Lisutian Hopolites in their description says they can form a phalanx but they don't.
*Hastati and Principes have wrong open/closed formation. By default their formation should be closed, I think but it isn't.
*I think short range archers are useless (dangerous to friendly units in front) instead it would be wise to give all regular archers "long range" ability.
PS for my own use I gave Romans at Arretium recruitable mercenary elephants. I think it would be possible for Romans to acquire elephants from Egypt so that is not completely unrealistic. Furthermore mercenary elephants are not uber strong as those of Carthage and they look better than flaming pigs-really. What is next flaming chickens????

I always kill the damn elephant, cavalry and general but unit of archer and pikeman always finish me off.

I had CTD today. Is there a way to find what is causing it?
Here is little more information about CTD
It happens during 18 or 19 turn (320 turns remaining) during the winter and it crashes once it begin to process Britannia faction.
So I manipulated my spy to Britania capital to take closer look. Perhaps there is bug with to be found?
At the Capital are:
- Faction leader Barrivendos
- Faction hair Belenus
- two units of warband spearmen
West of capital besieging rebel settlement Dumnoniorum (which is about to fall) are 3 Britannian family members (generals (Cynfawr, Sennianus and Calpornus)with one warband unit)
In the setelment are two different units of warband spearman one looks like the one Britanians can recruit and other looks like the one that can be recruited by rebels.
I used cheat buy adding mecr elephants to rebels and than the game doesn't crashes??? Is it problem with rebels or with Britons???
Also why does rebel faction has diplomats?
Does anyone knows what is going on here?
The problem is within the process of "capturing that settlement" or any other on the british isle as far as I know. I tried playing for britons a few times and every time I try to capture a settlement there, after winning a battle for it, the game crashes just before I get the message that "the settlement is captured". The fix that jamiemgr gave you did not work for me ....for some strange and unknown reason and the game keeps crashing to desktop.
Does anyone possibly know a solution to this?

All the CTD's are to do with errors in the export_descr_buildings file in the data folder. I managed to fix it a while back but can't remember what i did to it, all i remember is that it took absolutely ages.
So i will upload it and post the link in a bit.

Paste the file in your data folder and click copy and replace. Et voila. (You might want to save the original first, just in case)

Hey jamiemgr and everyone, it has been a very busy study and work year to date, and after taking a leave of absence I have returned, and spent the last week on improving this mod. Thanks for uploading the file jamiemgr, this is one of the fixes I added for the mod.
Here is a list of fixes and changes that I have worked on this week for Patch 5:
1. Fixed the start of the mod to enable both the Scipii and Brutii to expand again.
2. Fixed starting units for the Britons to enable expansion.
3. Fixed the desire of the Senate to attck you on their lands.
4. Fixed the ctds in the EDB, which were owing to experimental hidden resource tags.
5. Fixed missing unit card for Gallic Auxilia.
6. Fixed missing ports for Genua, Aquelia, Patavium.
7. Added many historically placed resources to map.
8. Added RS2 battlefield terrain mod (waiting on pemission to use).
9. Added some Vercingetorix_the_11 skins for Roman Archers and Hastati.
10. Adding better and more accurate map of Britain terminating in the highlands now.
11. Removed for the time being Roman and Carthaginian Town militia as well as the Gladiators in favour of more barbarian mercenaries.
If you think of anythin else that needs fixing let me know. If I think ony other changes Ihave made I will add to this list. I have added rebel diplomats as at times they will ask for a ceasefire and you are able to trade and ally with them.
Hello Border Reiver. I was looking for a RTW Darth sub-mod to provide better strategic movement rates on the 9.0.1 large campaign map when I came across your Ager Romanus large map mod for Darthmod 8.1. It seems from your 25 Jul 12 post that you were on the verge of releasing Patch 5, which had 11 important fixes, just before the final episode 9.0(.1) came out. Your sub-mod looks like an awesome fleshing out with area recruitment and a host of other refinements on the large map combined with Darth's killer AIs. However, thread traffic or lack thereof, seems to indicate this is pretty much a done deal as-is. Understood if your valuable time is being spent on other projects. Just looking for closure if that's the case, but a perfect world would have a patch 5 and a new sticky for Ager Romanus. Best regards and thanks for all your outstanding work.

Here is a list of things that are holding up what will hopefully be the last changes I make for this submod:
1. Add Roman Slave units and new skins (no more slave hastati)
2. Add a few rebellion scripts (Slave Wars in Sicily especially 134 - 131, Also Hannibal Invasion across Alpes Montes and Spartacus uprising)
3. Add Agrigentum to Sicily
4. Create my Pro Praetor and ProConsul Governor Ancillary Script
5. Fix Britain Map.
I installed all the patches and the mod and When I try to start the mod but when I select my faction it goes back to select campaign and does not let me continue
Try the EDB validator and other tools where possible. I do not have the Mod to check sorry. But,if you can it will help Border Riever fix the problems.
