    Hopefully all goes well, I'm up to Winter 255 in my Julii campaign and no problems so far, just a few incorrect textures. I've noticed it's a much slower campaign style now, and not as hard as I had intended to do wit the Roman Factions. In about a week I'll upload a campaign folder with just the 3 Roman Factions playable and make the difficulty harder.

    Small bushes on the battle map act as massive obstacles for armies.

    Yes, I'll be removing the stones. I found the same thing, I thought from a realistic point of view it would help me choose my ground wisely, so that men and cavalry can't simply run and charge everywhere. However it is downright annoying.

    So much for realistic strategy and vegetation attributes, I will change it. Check the title thread, and I'll upload it as a zip file as an updated file today called Patch 1a.

    Patch 1a

    This patch rebuilds the vegetation files and removes the realistic rocky layout on some maps which doesn't allow proper pathfinding for troops. Copy and paste these two files into your data folder at C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\Data folder or wherever Darthmod is installed.

    Strategy Map Dislpay problem

    If when you copy and paste these files and start the game and the strategy map is under water; there are two things that will fix this:

    1. Quit out of the game and go back to desktop and restart the game.
    or
    2. You will need to delete your map.rwm in the in the campaign folder
    C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\Data\world\maps\campaign\Ager_Romanus_Largemap

    This patch is not a mandatory fix, but it will improve pathfinding issues related to rocks on the battlefield.

    My Veterani Romanum throw two pilae and then draw their gladius and stab

    Same here, Veterani Romanum draw their swords after throwing their pilae

    Thanks for sorting the stones problem.

    I'm liking the fact that its quite a bit more challenging to start off with in the campaign, plenty of rebels to slaughter

    I encountered a problem. I am playing House of Julii

    I was not to popular in the senate... when I was marching an army near rome to get to one of my other settlements SPQR attacked me, nothing was said just attacked me. So I killed their army, and marched to rome and captured it. THere was nothing that said of any civil war... anyways now apparently I'm still allied with House Brutti and Scipio... I can't attack any of them but House Bruitti can attack me.

    Anyone know how to fix this glitch?

    I've never come across this before and I can only think of one thing that made this happen.

    On the descr_strat file I added this line to the Senate Faction as I had been doing some testing, and the descr_region file still has rome and italy as hidden resources:

    faction romans_senate, comfortable napoleon
    superfaction romans_senate
    denari 50000
    settlement

    I have attached a screenshot below showing a new campaign still telling me I can't attack the Senate:

    How much popular support do you have, and at what stage of the game are you at. How much territory do you have and money etc?

    Glad I could sort some the stones problem out.

    Ah, ok I'll check them out then

    EDIT: Oh I see what you mean, I have given the unit the wrong weapons attributes, it needed to be a swordsman first and only. Expect a patch by tomorrow.

    I have around 20-25 territories, and a lot of money in the coffers. Basictly I was trying to march one of my army from one settlement to the next, and I had to pass SPQR in order to do that. I needed two turns so I just stopped in their land, after I ended the turn they attacked me. So we were at war it said SPQR war with House Julli... apparently after this I was allowed to attack rome... we were like any other warring faction. So I took it and all the stuff that I mentioned in the original post occured.

    I think my senate popularity was around halfway or 1 or 2 less then halfway.

    I have a question, I have been reading the forums and usually when you have 20-25 regions shoudln't a civil war occur? At this point my popularity with the masses is only 5 and Senate around the same, Since the map is bigger.. does this mod require me to take more regions to get more popularity?

    Have you tried stopping in their territory and ending a turn there? Do they attack?

    Patch 2

    This very small patch fixes the Extraordinari Romanum unit which went into battle withiut its primary weapon. Copy and paste these two files into your data folder at C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\Data folder or wherever Darthmod is installed.

    This patch will not affect your saved game, except to enhance it. It can be located in the title thread.
