The Kingdom of Norway

So how do I know if the unification of Norway has been succesful?

In my current campaign I first captured all the regions which were neccesairy..

Then I got a message saying I had to kill the enemy Jarl..

After that I send an army to the last city the other norwegian faction had.. inside was the Jarl.. I killed him and took the last city..

Message showed up asking if I wanted to unite norway.. kingdom blabla.. I clicked yes..

result:

1 small army of the destroyed faction joined my faction and so did a few agents.. and that was all..

Is this supposed to happen? I mean I was kinda expecting my faction name to change into the Kingdom of Norway and my Jarl turn into a King.. it didnt happen.. also I didnt get a crown of norway or something..

I sign that. I asked me the same yesterday. Do you got this event with Hordaland like me?

Also strange is that if i play other factions like the normans and another faction unite norway than i got also with the normans the symbol of norway left of my turn botton on the interface.

When you get Norway united( take needed settlements and kill other jarl) you get everything they have left. So say they have 2 cities and 2 full stacks left you get all those if the conditions is met. That is why I'm only going for the cities needed and to kill other jarl

What Macue said is correct. And no, unfortunately it is not possible for your faction name to change.

The Jarl thing is a problem as well - I think I may make a submod where both of the Norwegian leaders are "konungr" not jarls, because historically, that's what they were. They were the king of vestfold and the king of hordaland. Plus, it will make the conversion to kingdom of Norway much smoother.

Eh, i won't do it till a much later point in time. Having two jobs plus a girlfriend, a band, and working on my own mod takes up too much time.... More time then I actually have

As far as I know it is possible. In the Sicilian Vespers mod the Kingdom of Sicily changes from Duchy of Sicily to Kingdom of Sicily. It just requires a pregame button, like the Pagan/Baptized Normans in this mod.

No need to mate, I've already done it in my submod (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=468155) along with a lot of other stuff mainly concerning Norway and it's families. (curses my new laptop only screenshots the desktop and not ingame shots or I'd give you some nice pictures)
It's not finished quite yet but let me know if you'd like it as is and I'll send it to you. Couple of more days and it should be finished for release.

But that's divided up by Eras. Which would NOT work in this mod.
