Default Last Serbian War Crimes Suspect Apprehended

    Excerpt of the BBC article:

20 July 2011 Last updated at 09:44 GMT
Serbia holds Croatia war crimes suspect Goran Hadzic

Serbian authorities say they have arrested Goran Hadzic, the last remaining fugitive sought by the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague.
Mr Hadzic, 52, is wanted for atrocities committed in the 1991-1995 war in Croatia. He led Croatian Serb separatist forces.
The arrest comes less than two months after Serbia caught former Bosnian Serb military commander Ratko Mladic.

So Serbia has apprehended the last suspected war criminal. A good move by Serbia. Now, it would be nice if other countries were as willing to hand over theirs as well.

It also be nice if the Russians handed over Andrey Lugovoy to my countries government (UK) for questioning, but that's never going to happen.

But I digress, that is a good move for Serbia.

It would be even nicer if Britain handed over Berezovsky to Russia as well.

Mr Hadzic was born in 1958 in Pacetin, near Vinkovici, in Croatia.
It's goddamn Vinkovci. No one ever spells it right.

Oh God, when is this going to end? We've had enough of the Serbian criminals. We've had enough of the past.

Yes because it makes so much more sense to have someone be accused of a crime, go on the run for years and then get off free because they did not get caught in that time.....

Hell we should tell all criminals to do that. It would save so much money on the legal niceties such as trials, incarceration etc

I couldn't care less about the Serbian war criminals. Every month we have another Serb "war criminal" caught. I have lost my interest. And obviously I can't understand who the are those guys who judge who is a 'war criminal'. How many NATO/American or whatever soldiers/officers/officials should be trialled for war crimes in Kosovo, Serbia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam etc then?

I'm also beginning to believe that there are more Serbs caught for war crimes than the number of Nazis after WW2. Shame on the (un)civilized Western world.

They caught a female Bosnian war criminal in Kentucky recently and are debating whether to extradite her or not.

It's nice they're not just focusing on Serbs and Croats but are going after Bosnian war criminals too.

The whole thing's a mess, I don't really know what to believe.

If only there was somesort of international court set up to look into the matter ...

You mean a heavily biased international court that is ignoring evidence?

See, this is why I don't know what to believe, I read and see too much conflicting evidence so I don't have any opinion on the matter.
