Pavise Crossbowmen

[Portuguese Man-Of-War]

Can every (catholic) nation recruit the Pavise Crossbowmen? I know that the eastern nations(Turks, Byzzies, etc.) can't, and I don't think the Moors can either, but asides from them, can just about every catholic nation recruit them? (We assume that the player has the proper upgrades necessary to do so.)

I believe its only Italian factions, like Venice, Milan, Sicily and the Papal States. Spain and Portugal might be able too aswell

in the vanilla MTW:

pavise crossbow:
hre, spain, portugal, papal_states, sicily, slave

pavise crossbow militia:

where is that file?

In the \data\ folder, but for vanilla you need to unpack these files with utility 'unpacker.exe' (\tools\unpacker, readme.txt first as always )

files you looking for are: export_description_units.txt and export_description_buildings.txt

I play as france, and even if I can't reqruit them, I have many mercenaries of them.

I am pretty sure you can get them as mercenaries, only if you have enough funds!
