    You mean "Kemetism"?

I'm not necessarily a believer of that religion, but I have always been fascinated by Egyptian mythology, religion and such.

I would love to read your publication (A great start would be being able to spell the religion. )

If you don't have a proper mummification ritual and if you're not entombed with your Book of Dead containing the spells you will need on your mystical journey you are not following the authenticate ancient Egyptian religion, you don't really believe in it.

I don’t know, didn’t the book of the dead come later ~ develop? …and was a way to extract moneys from the rich to prop up the priesthood.

The first tomb if I remember correctly simply had a door painted on a wall, no hieroglyphs or nothing.

    Not sure when mummification began.

I think its quit plausible to extrapolate an essential meaning here, but the problem is with the corpse which was considered to be an aspect of the entirety of the soul, as was simple things like the name of a person.

The Egyptians wanted to include every aspect of self, where e.g. Tibetan Buddhists would simply discard corpses. This is the aspect of Kemetism [shouldn’t it be khemetism?] I don’t get, the corpse is surely the definitive difference between an entity with soul or without it.

Like a rock or a particle has no awareness/subject [even though a particle can seemingly observe], one would expect a definitive difference between living and non-conscious entities to be without such an essentiality.

As far as I can tell the preservation of the corpse was so that during the ascendancy to Elysium, the soul could return to the body periodically. It just makes no sense to me apart from one wanting their entire being to be part of the eventual whole. Hmm if we think of ourselves in our bodies now, then surely the body is part of that whole, such that in order to re-create that entirety in heaven all parts have to be assembled together ~ which is what it seams to be all about.

You don't believe it, you hardly know anything about it.
People have pointed out errors in almost everything you've said about the Egyptian gods, you didn't even know the creation myth of what you say your religion is.

At first it was just the pharoah who got the eternal afterlife and everyone else just died. The idea being that the pharoah was an immortal god and his ba had to be beamed out into outer space while his ka was preserved in his body. At some point they inscribed magical incantations on his coffin/tomb to enhance the process. These spells were then made available for the general public in the book of the dead so everyone could have a stake in the afterlife if they were willing to fork out.
