Female Faction Leaders?

Hi,

I'm pretty sure I already know the answer but is it possible to mod the game to allow female faction leaders? I was looking at a Kingdoms Mod and I think I saw a female Grand Duchess as a faction leader. I can't remember the name but it was based mainly on the HRE. Anyway I just wanted to know after I watched The Virgin Queen

At least not to mod the M2TW vanilla game...

I think the real question here is, in this situation who exactly will be making the sandwiches?

You can mod in female portraits, but you can't avoid the male noises when you click on them and the fact that they will marry women and have children.

Might be possible to have female agents though, you could mod in an agent with a female portrait and voices, and set it to do the same thing as their male counterparts...

i remember there is a trait,that tells that this "man" is secretly a woman.it was for priests,so it can be for other guys too.at least,in theory,u can have female pope

Adding a 'Secretly female' trait for family members would be easily doable, but you still wouldn't be able to stop the character from marrying women and having children.

I think there was a mod for Rome in it's early days once with some female family members, and the modders said you could either turn off the female members or accept the wife and children thing.

It' cant. But I'm sure I've gotten at least ten popes with that trait

Female faction leaders would be a disaster for the mighty Med 2. Assaulting fortresses with matching pink curtains and all that cobblers?? Grim.

during my first play through Medieval 2 (ages ago) I had a Secretly Female Pope (what are the odds?)

But yeah, you can't have a female faction leader it is hardcoded

I've had a few 'secretly female' Popes in my campaigns. Never really checked the stats/traits though, maybe it makes them less warlike and more keen on peace between factions and all that?

I'd be well revved up for Female faction leaders if they appeared on the battlefield and whipped their kit off and did a swift Lady Godiva to inspire the troops Who needs a generals speech?

Thats because agents don't have genders in the game's programming. They are just given male names and portraits.

It would have been cool if you had an event with Joan of Arc when playing as France.
But it´s also understandable why they left it out.
