Since i play a lot of Left 4 Dead i thought i should try watching a movie similar to Left 4 Dead, Zombie Apocalypse, monster-zombies, survivors trying to survive, survivors with guns killing zombies, etc...

    Anyone know anything good?

Sth with a good ending is preferred.

The Romero films and their remakes, not all good but they're pretty much the trope originators.

28 days later and 28 weeks later, not zombies but infected, but fits regardless.

There was a Spanish one not so long ago that got good reviews, but can't remember its name.
Some day I'll actually write all the reviews I keep promising...

Zombies are undead. Infected still live. There are many variations of both but in the simplest terms it means infected are very infectious, fast but can be killed like any normal human. Zombies tend to be more durable, slower and can only infect by bite.

Don't take that as an absolute rule though, in some other film-universes everyone who dies becomes a zombie, regardless of contact with other zombies; fast zombies have become more popular;...

You make it sound so much scientific.

You all forgot the Resident Evil series. Although I prefered the 28 Days - 28 Weeks Later myself.

Not technically a movie, but Walking Dead fills the gap nicely as a tv series pretty damn well.

not really like left 4 dead the game, but Dawn of the Dead (remake made in 2002 not that romero slow anti climatic stuff) is hands down one of the best, if not the best, zombie movies ever made.
just two weeks ago i found out they are making a proper sequel to the movie, which should be out in the next two years.
    i hope its in 3d.

But I agree with Space Wolves on "The Walking Dead", it's one of the better TV shows out...be warned though, there's only 6(7 maybe?) episodes in the first season, but each episode is incredibly well done.

The Horde - French film (subtitled is best, don't watch the dubbed version.).. Corrupt French police unit go to a block of flats to seek revenge on a drug dealing gang, this doesn't go to plan. While they are in the flats the Zombie apocalypse kicks off. Police and gangsters have to team up to survive. Lots of gore and guns.

Stakeland - Low budget but brilliantly shot/acted/directed. Post Vampire apocalypse but along the same lines as what you're looking for.
