Is BI an all or nothing expansion?
Please excuse this simpleton question. What I want to know is -IF- I were to get Gold Edition or buy and install the BI expansion; can I still play a normal RTW game as if I had only RTW 1.5 installed? In other words, can I have a "vanilla RTW" game going and on alternate nights play another game that is BI, without installing/uninstalling anything from night to night?
Thanks!

Yes, you need RTW to play BI, but they do not affect each other in any way. They are indeed seperate games, and it wouldn't be fun to have to install that frequently.

Things are very seldom what they seem. In my experience, they’re usually a damn sight worse.

Ive heard that gold edition is patched and kind of screws up some of the fun, but im not totally sure. i got RTW and BI right when they came out.

But you will need the BI CD in your drive to play BI and the RTW CD1 in your drive when you play RTW.

O.K., thanks, guys. So I understand that installing BI over, say RTW 1.5 will not affect the RTW version (although installing gold might tweak my RTW); and the game I play is dictated by which CD is in the drive.
Thanks again!
