Hi, im playing as normans, already baptised and i have 2 issues, im on year 979, i've just acquired the town Bremon and every time i want to open the recruitment queue or the building queue in that specific settlement it crashes, i can still play just fine by not using that settlement but it's on my front line with the danes but anyway, do you have any idea what could be causing this. Also every time i build a shrine or church in every settlement, after a couple of turns it disappears and returns to be available for construction.
thanx in advance, btw AWESOME mod congrats TLK team.

Can you please repeat the crash in bremon and then submit the log? That way I might be able to figure out which building or unit might be causing the crash.

The disappearing buildings could have a cause in the script. I will need to check that.

Got another one. Norman campaign, turn 104. Got CTD during end turn. Reloaded, turned off FOW, ended turn again. Cause of CTD is that a spawned Viking raid shows up and besieges Dubhlinn, which is owned by the Vikings.

Edit: The campaign script apparently doesn't check if the settlement is owned by the Vikings before initiating the siege.

    Code:
    ;--- 917 Mide Theas, Dubhlinn ---

Vikings raiding own villages = this has been added to the list - didn't cross my mind that they actually could have conquered those villages already.

Has anyone reported this purple blotch? It looks like an accident when making the red blotch opposite.

This purple dot is ink, and the other side red dot is blood! Artwork, not accident or bug!!!

Haha, very sorry! Maybe I can only appreciate artworks of blood.

Adding to what -Myth- said about the Viking faction, I found that when I sue for peace, they will accept the following terms:

Me to them: Ceasefire (which means little...)
Them to me: Map information, 9000 gold.

This is in 874 AD and I've defeated one of their armies, but I don't think any of the other factions repelled their invaders. It seems like they severely underestimate their own strength.

As Denmark (see the SS above) I got trade rights then i got an alliance and gave them my map info (which is valuable as it's half the map). They said ok. Then I gave them 1700 for their map info. Now I can see Valhalla, that hidden village up in Norway that can't be conquered.

They did the same thing with Sauron in TATW but you couldn't get an agent to him to buy his map info to see that hidden city.

    Two map related issues:

    1. My initial reported CTD going to battle is reproducible at will. See attached screenshot. Rebels in Caen move part of the garrison up to the border with Rouen. There are two tiles one can initiate an attack from. If one attacks from the southern one (112,0) then all is well. If one attacks from the northern tile (112,1) game CTDs every time it tries to go to the battle map.

    2. If, as and when a coastal clearance is built in Hrofesceaster, the resulting port structure at 120,28 blocks navigation up the Thames. Ships of different factions in the Channel will not be able to enter, those upstream will be trapped in the Thames.

My guess: a battle usually centers around the attacked. Looks like the CTD happens if there is no tile behind that attacked party. Probably if you landed a party directly North of the rebels you would get a CTD as well. (or move the army to the Northern position to attack instead of attacking from the North-Eastern position). Don't think we can do anything about that.

Ports in the navigable rivers are always a problem - we will need to place them in 'bays' so that the traffic can pass.

The campaign AI is INCREDBLE! It is VERY clever. I've been playing as Wessex on Hard/Medium, and I've noticed one very frustrating issue. It is almost impossible to come to agreements with your neighbors, short of forking out 10s of thousands coin. I don't know if it is because the campaign is set to Hard or not, but I think this is a geniune problem. Diplomacy needs some work.

The Campaign AI is not incredible by any stretch of the imagination. It can't save its provinces no matter what and it does not do naval invasions. I blitzed the East Franks with Denmark and they didn't even try to fight back or assemble all their stacks together for one huge battle when I was marching my FMs side by side. The SS AI does that, it tries to gang up on you. So there is much work to be done.

I play VH/VH and yes, peace is too costly to call even when you have 3 x the number of provinces and armies of your enemy. I'm Denmark that has all of Scandinavia and what chunk of Europe we have, but Northumbria with it's pathetic 2-3 provinces still views peace and trade rights as Very Demanding lol.
