Medieval II has encountered an unexpected error and will now exit.

I get this all the time if I try to attack some1 myself and want to play the battle manual not automatic...
I got this when playing: medieval II Crusades
Teutonic
Brittania

I didn't use mods yet... the onliest thing I did was unlocking the factions manual in the files for "Crusades"

Can some1 help me?

do you meen you've unpacked the files?

if so then there are files that need editing, go to the tutorials section and find the unpacking tutorial

The files were allready unpacked when I installed it.

yes indeed, but still I don't know why that would be a problem because I also did that for the normal Medieval II Total War... and get no error from it

Though I got no problems of playing a battle manual in the normal Medieval II Total war...
Only got this error when playing 1 of the expansion games

you must've made an error, if you have a log report have a check through that, or have a double check to find the error and make sure that you are using either notepad or notepad ++

How do I do a log report? And yes I used notepad.

hmm, i've just had a check of the crusades desrc_strat and all unlockable factions are unlocked from the start!!

I got the same... I just went to play crusades again started it no problems... opened saved campaign no problem... then I started playing and attacked a settlement with allready siege unit with me so I can directly attack and I clicked on manual play so it loads for the battle... then when it's fully loaded I get the error :/ And when I click automatic it works... but I haven't got fun on doing everything automatic.... I want to play the battle myself...

Yes, and I also got the problem then..

i'll leave it to irish to point you in the right direction, he's much more capable than me!! but it sounds like it could be a graphical error
