    Default Transferring between computers?

    Hey, I just got a new laptop and was hoping to transfer my copies of M2TW, Kingdoms, and TATW (saved games/other data aren't important) from my current comp to it as I'd rather not spend 27hrs downloading all the files (low bandwidth here). Is there any easy way to do all this via an external hard drive?

    @Makus

    TATW should be no problem to transfer, but you may have to modify the Third Age.bat, the TATW.cfg file and your shortcut if any of the paths change.

    I do not know of anyway to transfer the M2TW or Kingdoms unless you create an image file or something like that. I have never tried to restore an installed Windows program from backup, just data.

    I do it all the time... what I do is connect both PC's via an Ethernet Cable, Router, Network, etc and I just copy + paste with no problems. But you'll need a new shortcut

    @Trailhog250

    Do you copy + paste M2TW or just the mod?

    I have no problems doing that with the whole game. Though some games won't let you do that, I had to do it with my copy of Steam/ETW so I wouldn't have to redownload it

    A lot of EA Games' such as: BFME2, C&C, etc will destroy all you units/buildings after a few minutes because the cd-key is absent in the registry and it activates the game's piracy protection. (Even though that can be fixed be inserting the code in the right place in the registry) But it's less hassle to just install it.
