Port glitch

Hey newbie to EB and a few turns into my game I've encountered a few little glitches

First is the port

Con time 60 Seasons
Con cost 64000

Secondly a few of my characters have aged per turn. (I assumed it was 4 turns to every calendar year in EB)

I have however made my own little trip into the editor to edit the triarii numbers as shown on page 3 of this guide (VT martins post)

Unfortunately I also made the schoolboy error of not backing up my files before doing so.
I'm not very PC literate but I backed myself to take a number and divide it by 2 and I've noticed no probs with the triarii.

Should I just do a full re install of EB and leave the editing alone or is it something else amiss?

Barring all the above I've been most impressed with EB cheers.

P.s I've also got two black bars on the side of my screen, I think this is more a steam issue (Rome Gold game downloaded from them) than EB though if anyone knows a fix I'd be welcome to hear it.

2. They should only age in the winter turn...minimods or something else changed?
Which specific characters did age? Limited to one faction?
