Edessan Guard maximum
I'm currently playing a Crusader States campaign on VHVH SS6.4 w/BGR and I've notice something strange. All of my different knights seem to obey the maximum recruitable limit posted on the building info screen with the exception of the edessan guard. I have been able to recruit about 10 units of these guys. Is this a mistake or working as intended?
I attempted a search on the topic but came up empty.
Thanks

Re: Edessan Guard maximum
Based on the initial read I'd say this is a glitch. Did you install anything beyond vanilla 6.4?

Re: Edessan Guard maximum
usually u can recruit unlimited of any unit unless its a UNIQUE unit or u reached your maximum number of units u can support in BGR.
since u are using BGR u need to raise your zeal level over 70% in order to recruit something in cities or castles thats better than militia. none of your provinces start with that high percentage of catholics so u need to recruit priests and convert the population.
i guess u still have "unrestricted right to knight", otherwise u need a general with professional training stuff in order for unitpools to replenish, or even a warcounciller
more info can be found in the BGR thread
http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=106060
maybe bane is right and its simply a glitch but i never heard that the buildings tell anything about the recruitmentlimit just the maximum pool size for each building

Re: Edessan Guard maximum
Edessan Guards are Urban Professionals so they replenish much faster (this will be fixed in the new RR/RC). Maybe that's why you were able to get so many so fast (though you didn't mention how long it took you to do so).

It was slowly over many turns (I'm currently at 95). It just seemed weird that all of the other troops of that quality seemed to be capped.

What exactly do you mean by "capped"? You weren't able to have more than a certain amount in your employ at the same time? I've never heard of something like that, so it's probably because of BGR.
