I have 46 captured settlements total (Rome, Scipii/Brutii factions captured). If i go beyond 50, will the game end at that point? Or it will let me choose to play until all settlements have been captured?

Not sure as I never finish a campaign before, but I think the game would just end when you conquer 50 lands.

no, u just sit there and take in income, and basically fight rebels whenever they spring up or one of your settlements rebels, thats about it. Ive never finished a campaign either, ive just heard this from other people.

The game will only end when you have conquered the known world.

Ah i see, thanks. I have alot of diplomats around the map and bought alot of map infos earlier in the game.

Well, if you have at least version 1.2 the game does not have to end when you conquer 50 settlements + Rome, but it allows you to continue your expansion until you are swimming in pools of gold and have the entire map under your [corrupt] control.

lol - i have version 1.5, i guess i better get my swimsuit ready.

..I actually finished a Brutti campaign, and GOD was that boring. So after auto-calcing the last 20 battles I finally reached the mindless goal of 50 provinces. At this point, I was expecting a movie of victory (like in STW.) BUT NO! All there is, is a movie that keeps repeating over and over of a roman walking down the Senate hall. Over and over. And over. And then you quit. If you want. Or not.

I share your disappointment. Specially as this same mini-movie (not even fullscreen, but shown in a tiny small window!) is also shown after completing the short campaign.


I mean where is the point? It takes days and night to finish the long campaign, CA should award the player by at least giving him a proper victory movie. The into movies are far better than the victory closing. This is not good IMHO.

what i like doin is conquering the whole map except brittain and caralis, palma, rhodes, and kydonia, basically th islands... the ones who currently are still alive is brittain, carthage with palma, scipii with caralis, brutii with kydonia, egypt with salamis, and julii with tara. no more rebels no nothing. i'm the greeks BTW. i wanna see whats after everything. once in a while a full stack from the other nations attacks but myeh i just fend them off. plus my stupid family members don't stop :wub:. uhg i got like 150 male family members.

well i just completed the campaign as brutti

i got the option to quit campaign or continue playing

and being a stubborn git im continuing to the bitter end, as should you all your not a true total war veteran until you have conquered the map. You will find that evn hough you have technically finished the campaign there will be some strong factions left and fighting them will be just as challenging

and as for that comment about coruption well i have only ever used bribery once (ok maybe twice) to get a victory all nmy lands have been fought for with tough bruttii blood thats how you get decent generals and honour.

anyway my point is you should finish the canmpaign and then continue playing and never ever ever press the autoresolve button and never ever ever ever ever press the withdraw button thats how to loose troops and respect (except at sea)

so fight to the end and conquer every single tnhing that stands in your way and more

yea u take rome for urself (greedy) then when u get 50 regions u get to chose play on and conquer the world (or basically europe) or just quit to main menu
