    Yeah it is the red shirts carrying off their wounded (including Garibaldi) after their surrender to the king's army at Aspromonte, emphasis on monte, as we can see the large hills in the background.

    As you can see there is a ship, so this is a naval operation. But why would they need to carry boats overland?
