Bu you're right, Operation Tidal Wave, aka second Ploesti raid. Not knowing that Germans and Romanians heavily fortified the area against aerial bombardment since first raid, USAAF planned the operation as low level daylight raid. As a result, out of 177 B-24 bombers, 53 were lost and further 55 took significant damage, while the impact on oil production was minimal.

It must be the death of Marshal Turenne at Salzbach. Pretty big blow on the French forces, but overall we still emerged victorious.
