Hey guys, I'm sure I saw a Legion mod for Mordor, and now I can't find it! Can anybody lead me too it? And answer me, if it would be very hard to make it for Gondor instead?

Here is a guide, looks fairly easy might do it tonight or at least have a look. I like the idea, just so i don't have to think do you have ideas for where the legions come from and by what name they go by? Also what unit type should get the title?
Also it would be easier if you could give me a clean 2.1 of export_descr_unit.txt and descr_regions.txtotherwise i could just give you the chunks of text because my TATW is modded all to hell
Edit:
Haven't seen that mod in a few days but it's possible that they edited the exe which isn't allowed. In this case the title will be 'Legio II Minas Tirith' for example. The format is hardcoded as 'Legio' + incrementing number in numerals (I, II, III, IV...) + title attached to the region (which can be almost anything).
One idea i like is to have bree and the rest of eriador start regions (excluding the shire) to have 'Legio I Arnor'? It might be best to divide gondor into certain regions, MT, cair andros and Pelargir could be 'Gondor', while far western regions could be 'West Gondor'?
It could also be for one unit such as the citedal guard? So you always know which one it is![]()

Were there but a tree in this godforsaken place i would have hanged myself.
So the number of legions depends on the number of regions you make? So what you stated there with 3-4 regions will have 1 Legion each? And will all of the units recruited in one region be added to the regions Legion? And can you have like 4 stacks of unit in the same Legion?
- Og and If you want me to send you those files, just say itAnd thanks!
Anyway, "Gondor" and "West Gondor" would together have 2 Legion, right? That sounds coll, especially If you could divide it into 3-4 "Regions" like "Gondor" or "West Gondor" so Gondor would stand with 4 Legions.
I don't quite understand the one with the, single unit?

Number of regions set as legion areas equates to number of legion names; 'Legio I Dol Amroth', 'Legio I Minas Tirith', 'Legio I Osgilliath' for example if Minas Tirith, Dol Amroth and Osgilliath were set as legion regions. The Legion number is given to the unit not the army as in you can have several legion units in one army banner. Each legion region can have multiple units ie 'Legio XX Minas Tirith' would be the twentieth unit built there. i will make it clear that the only thing it does is number certain units built in certain regions.
As can be seen in this image:Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

well i only did mordor and isengard.. i thought those to made sence..
Isengard has all units except the Snaga crap which is shared with ootmm and just rabble.. Also no BG units
Mordor has all units except the cave troll and olog hai and also no BG units..
cities:
Black Gate
Barad Dur
Dol Guldur
Minas Morgul
Isengard
Oh, so you can't make a Legion army specific?
Were there but a tree in this godforsaken place i would have hanged myself.
Oh, so If I place a -say Citidal Guard- In each army, They'll eventually be called Legio I and II and III and further on?
Or?
No, just the unit gets a name unfortunately. Each time you build the unit in the city it increments, though i think it replaces any numbers if the unit is destroyed/disbanded for example if 'Legio XI Minas Tirith' is destroyed the next legion unit built in MT will be XI.

Well, how could you make armies called Legion I and II then? Name the General it?
Then the whole Legion would have to be together all the time though ..
not possible..
you can make the general legion 1.. because the starting general in a city is the first unit.. to do this you need to make the bodyguard unit also a possible legionary..
you can't make total stacks of 1 legion.. just 1 unit = 1 legion
ow and if legion 10 dies.. i believe the next will still be legion 11.. it does not replace an old number.. it simply adds
Do you still want me to do it for some Gondor units?

Didn't RS 2 make full stacks as legions? I think they did this by naming the units to be legion XI Gemina and making the units recruitable in only certain regions. If you wanted a legion for gondor, you could make aor units that would be copies of regular Gondor Spearmen and name them Legio I Osgiliath. This could be done with other units like archers to make a full legion of infantry and support troops. Multiple legions could be made this way by making legio II copies of these troops.
The tale of Legio IV Flavia Felix: After cowardice during the Revolt of 69-70 AD the IV Macedonian was reconstituted and renamed IV Flavia Felix, or "lucky legion" signifying its luck at not being dishonorably disbanded.

Well, I don't see the logical in that? one unit is highest 120 men, then why thedo they call that a Legion?
