laptop question
My dad just purchased a Toshiba laptop (http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Toshi...oductDetail.do)
With a Celeron M 740 (1.73ghz) and 512 RAM. I was wondering if this would be capable of playing Call of Duty 1. If not, what good, yet older games would suffice?

That laptop got intergrated graphics (Intel Graphics Accelerator 900), I don't think it can handle Call of Duty, or probabily only on the lowest setting. I think you should stick with old 2D games.

Oh it could. I have a 3 year old laptop with intergrated graphics. With everything turned down, I managed to get 9 FPS. It is not the best, but you will live. And after you get used to that, you will never have to spend big money on computers again.

Praefectus
Thats a bare minumum pal - especially with a celeron processor. If you want to do any serious gaming, you have to get a desktop with a better processor and such. Still, I dont see why Call of Duty I wouldnt work (if not all that well)

Yes it will work, but the lag will be so bad that it will be unplayable, or very hard to play.

Well, that was a 3 year old laptop. With that, I would be surprised if he got a FPS lower then 20.

Counter-Strike 1.6 would be at least a little bit better, correct?
