Default WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY WITH THE HAPPY FUN TIME PLATOON

    Hi guys,

Firstly the most important thing that you will need is ARMA II AND Operation Arrowhead. Trust me, it's worth to spend the money on both games, as without both games you will not be able to play with us.

Second if you want to play Arma II with the Happy fun time platoon you will need the following mods:
    • ACE
    • CBA
    • ACRE
    • Fallujah
    • Isla Duala
    • Lingor (and Lingor Units)

    What are these mods?
ACE adds alot more realism to ARMA, yea MORE realism. Basically it adds stuff like resting weapons with bipods, getting deaf if someone shoots to close to you, getting injured by backblasts, ...
CBA is automatically installed and adds some small mods made by the community.
ACRE is a mod that implements a realistic radio system, distortions by mountains or by being to far, etc. It improves the realistic feel alot, especially when we are working with different fireteams.
Fallujah is a map which is very urban, we use it to play insurgency (a special game mode) and for some close quarter combat missions.
Isla Duala is another map, based on the African savannah.
Lingor is a great jungle map, in the style of South American rainforests.

How do I install these mods?
You WILL need these mods if u want to play with us, the easiest way to install them is through sixupdater.
    http://www.six-updater.net/p/download.html Download and install sixupdater
and download Team Speak 3 (this is necessary for acre to work, don't worry if u don't have a mic u need it anyway to hear everyone else speak )

Once you have sixupdater installed and you've selected the correct download folder (mine is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common), you need to select the following mods from the mod tab:
    ACE
    ACEX
    ACEX_RU
    ACEX_SM
    ACEX_USNavy
    ACRE
    CBA
    fallujah
    Isla_duala
Lingor (to run Lingor you also need mbg_buildings_2 and ibr_plants)
    Lingor_units

When you select the ACRE mod, the JayArma2Lib mod should be autoselected for you, but just check to make sure.

    Recommended but not needed mods:
    Blastcore_Visuals (adds alot better explosions)
tf86_seals (adds the cool seal look to your soldier)
RoccoFaces (allows you to wear personal custom faces that others can see)
JSRS sound mod (possibly the best sound mod out there and improves upon all vanilla sounds, from weapons to vehicles)
ShackTac Fireteam HUD (a small heads-up display showing friendlies within your immediate area as well the names of your fellow squad members)

Add all of these mods to your preset (select the mod [left click] then right click and you'll see the "add to preset" option)

Then left click the green icon arrow thing in the top left corner and select the "install or update" option. It is going to take a long time to download all of the mods. When they're done allow all of the .dll entries that will be asked for.

When it's all done select the ACRE mod and right click it, then go down to "mod apps" and select either win32 or 64 .dll to be installed as a plugin for TS3, obviously whatever TS3 you downloaded will dictate this.

Then go to the JayArma2Lib mod and do the mod apps bit although there are no choices just click the one option. (I don't know if everyone has done this, but I have and my stuff works fine).

    How to launch the mods
Now this bit is important once you have all that done, some people do it differently but this is what I did. While all of the mods are listed in the preset (all but ACE and CBA disappear after a while for some reason), go up to the left corner again where it says "Create Game Shortcut on Desktop" do this and you'll have an icon that will launch your game with all the mods. It will create a target line with all of your mods listed in that shortcut.

If this doesn't work there is a second option.
Download the ArmA launcher here (at the bottom of the page u have 2 options to download)
Once downloaded, unpack the file and launch the 'ArmA2 launcher'. It will first ask u if u own ArmA2, choose 'YES' and select the ArmA2 exe file. Then it will ask u if u own ArmA 2 Operation arrowhead, choose 'YES' and select the Arma2 OA exe file.
This launcher will then automatically find all your mods installed, just drag the mods from the list to one of the addon groups on the right (u might need to make a new group by right clicking on 'addons/mods'). then make sure all the mods are checked on and select on the bottom right under 'game version' ArmAII - CO (CO stands for Combined operations, which means u will launch both armaII and OA together in 1 game ). U should see under 'parameters' that it is a pretty long line of mods enabled. If this is true then click start game and it should work

I know it sounds like a lot, but if you need help just ask we're here for that.
