tatw_2.0 dont run

Im sorry for the new topic, and sorry for my bad english.

But i have download tatw_2.0_part1of2.exe and tatw_2.0_part2of2.exe, and they dont run. All programs in computer says "no respond" when i try run these applications. I buy this game yesterday becouse I want only play TATW, but this game dont install.

Please help me, and im so sorry for this new topic mut i dont found anything whit search. Thanks if someone can help!

- guy who really want play Third Age: Total War. Very great job guys, most beatiful mod what I have ever seen but this application sucks

You mean when you try to run the installers, ie you are double clicking tatw_2.0_part1of2.exe and tatw_2.0_part2of2.exe and there is no response?

I try run them, and double click them and nothing happened, but my folders, internet, spotify etc. says "no respond". Yesterday i double klick them afternoon and wait all of night, 8 hours if something happened but no, my computer just tilt after 8 hours

I think that too, thats why i download everything 3 times but it didnt help.

Sounds like the explorer/shell is hanging when the installer runs for some reason.

What's your OS?

I have steam in my computer but the game is not in steam.

Actually my computer says "explorer.exe dont answer" when I try run installer. I have windows Vista, if you ask that.

And I had try run them for "compability whit XP". (Sorry but I just dont know how it must say).

Vista? Hm..

You could try:

1. Turn of User Account Control (UAC) in control panel, then try to install

2. Try to install in safe mode

3. Do virus/spyware checks

so you downloaded part one and part two and clicked it to install it but it doesn't respond. My cousin has the same pb, do you have the game on steam?

Oh thats was easy to repair. But I have new problem!!

Yesterday the game work perfectly. But today the game crash in loading screen (where is Minas Tirith and Rohirrim Riders in Pelennor fields). If I try run in administor, game say "Kingdoms.exe not found" or something like that. I know that had asked too many times, but I didn't found any thing how can solved that. PIf you know something, just tell what have to do.

First you are going to have to delete TATW then you must fine where the Kingdoms .exe is in you Steam, look in C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam then in the Steam folder or SteamApps folder it should be in one of those then once you fine it just reinstall it, just direct it to that path

If you have Kingdoms installed you must fine the Kingdoms .exe and when you reinstall just direct it to that path, the hard part is fining it

If you dont have Kingdoms installed in steam then it should be in your Main folder it should be found here C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War just direct it to there...

Make sure you delete everything before trying to reinstall or you will have problems

My kingdoms.exe is in C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War. So I have find it. Then I have to reinstall everything in this folder? But something must delete?

Edit: Must I reinstall game or mod?

Yes just make sure when you install it that you direct it to what I have underlined above and high lighted red

You must reinstall the game also so that means reinstall M2TW & Kingdoms & TATW

I played 4 hours and then the game chrash.. In every battle game says "Medieval 2: Total War encountered an unspecified error and will now exit.."
I think this is not funny anymore. I never gonna can play this game.

If it happens on a specific turn/battle, try auto-resolving a battle or two.

I sometimes get a random crash. Though usually restarting the game fixes it. I've had some very rare battles continuously crash but those hardly ever happen. If you're trying to fight one particular battle it could keep crashing, usually auto-resolving it fixes it and it's gone when you get to the next one. Or if it's an important battle and you know you could win if you fought it go to the console (press '~') and type 'auto_win attacker/defender' depending on if you're attacking or defending. Without the quotation marks
