    Default Budget gaming PC?

I might want to buy one as it is pretty much impossible to play PC games now for me.

So what are the minimum requirements to be able to play the current games and the ones in the years to come? I need to advice.

    graphic card? Which one?
    Internal memory? How much?
    What processor?
    Et cetera

As long as it is afforable!

Can you provide any details about what you're aiming for? Which current games do you want to play? What is your budget? Which country will you be buying from?

For the CPU I recommend Phenom II 955, it's very cheap and will do fine for a while. Either an AMD 5850 or 6850 for the GPU.

$500 appears to be the magic number when talking about budget gaming. And you can actually end up with a great PC for that price.

You could get some ideas here http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...c,2970-14.html

They went the entry-level Intel route, which I dont really agree with. I like the Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition.

I saw a pc for €599 that has:
    -AMD Phenom2 X4 840 3.2 ghz
    -1tb
    -6gb DDR3 1333mhz
    -ATI HD 6770 DDR5 1024MB
    -Asus AM3 M4A77T USB 3.0

But Window and Office will add alot to the price...

And you can actually build a much better PC for $500, like the one in the link...

A friend and I selected this:

    http://azerty.nl/winkelmandje/winkel...%5B430543%5D=1

Afforable and very decent. I might want to add another fan because there is a controller for two in it but that's it.
He can put it together for free and in the process learn me a thing or two.

    EDIT:

Read that the stock CPU fan is noisy, is this true and should I get a better one?

Looks good. Dont know about the stock fan. Certainly wont be as noisy as the video card when playing a game. But yeah, everyone is saying it is pretty noisy when you google it. You can find a nice cooler for cheap these days.

Something like this is cheap and very good. Just be mindful of whether it will fit in your case.

Ok, thanks. That one is not too cheap to be honest but could be worth checking out. Won't a €15 fan be enough though because it is pretty much about the noise not really the cooling capacity.

And I can add 4 12cm fans to the case. I want to add one because I will have a controller for 2.

    12cm, is that a 120mm fan?

That is very cheap for a cooler. Hyper 212+ has the best bang for the buck of all coolers. Just get it, you won't regret it. I upgraded from the stock cooler because it was going 5000-7000 RPM, the Hyper212+ only goes like 1400 and I can't even hear it.

That build looks tons better than the last one.

    12cm is same as 120mm, 1cm is 10mm.

Ok, just like the videocard and the harddrive then. Best price/quality.

    A friend made it.

    12cm is same as 120mm, 1cm is 10mm.
    So this will fit?

The cheapest one of the same brand as the case. 12cm and sticks with the whole blue led theme.

And 550 watts will be enough?

    EDIT:

So this would be a reasonable PC to play the current generation games and some future ones on?

Actually the HDD is bad for the price. Get this instead. It's better in every way, cheaper too.

For the power supply, do not get Coolermaster. They are bad and overpriced compared to Corsair and Antec. Rather get a 550W-600W Corsair one.

Yeah, that PC will play any games for years to come.

    So how about this then?

    http://azerty.nl/winkelmandje/winkel...%5B195564%5D=1

I don't really know about the extra fan, I can use a 12cm at the front at the bottom or at the side (I can fit two in the side). I could also add a 14cm fan at the side only. What should I get and where should I place it? This fan would be nice for the front, is quite strong and cheap.

That HDD btw, I read some reviews saying that it breaks down easily. For the rest all positive reviews.

    EDIT:

As for the sizes of the case they are: 21cm whide, 49.2cm deep and 45.2cm high.
    Will the cpu cooler fit?
    (Pics)

    EDIT:

My friend keeps saying that the WD Blue Caviar is superior (sata 600 is according to him alot better that 300) and that a different cooler is a waste of money.

The only difference I can see between the two drives is that the Samsung has better read/write times. The WD is SATA III (SATA 6Gbps), but that was mainly designed with solid state drives in mind. Mechanical drives cannot come close to maxing out SATA III, or even SATA II. It is bad marketing designed to draw in the ill-informed.

If you still wanted SATA III, the you could go with this, and Im sure the read/write times are on par if not better than the Samsung.

Honestly, after reading some reviews of your case, I would go another route. Lots of complaints about the internal electrics. That is just as bad as electrical problems with a car. Basically not fixable unless you send it back to the manufacturer. I would stick with Antec, Cooler Master, Silverstone, Thermaltake, etc.

Indeed. I told him that Sata-600 doesn't matter with a HDD and he told me that it does. But everyone seems to disagree with him...

Anyway, should I get a PCU cooler or not, I heard the Hyper 212+ is noisy as well even though devil may poop seems to disagree.

Nope it's not loud, Hyper 212+ is one of the quietest and best bang for the buck coolers you can get. Even at full load I still can't hear it. The only thing I can hear is the GPU fan if it's at 60%, if I reduce it to 38% the PC is completely silent.

Yeah, easily. The case is 30cm wide, and it only needs 18cm.

Ok. Thanks. Quite a nice case don't you think? Especially when I add a big blue fan up front.

    EDIT:

Just a small question, if I for some reason would like to add a second fan to the cooler what kind of fan do I have to use? Just a normal casefan or a special one?

    EDIT2:

    What HDD should I get?

    -WD Caviar Blue 1TB
    -Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB
    -Seagate Barracuda 1TB
